this is a weird and odd fight that im happy to see, im sure winner fights winner and every1 noes wat im talkin bout, if u dont u need to stop watchng boxing, but i say mosely wins this one
This makes me look down the road. The most of use think Mosley will win his fight and PPF will win his ,ok so SSM vs PPF . That should be good. But the losers Cotto VS Hatton ..HOLLY SHEET THAT WOULD BE THE BOMB> I would rather see the Losers fight than the winners.LOL
Lets just see what happends, we could see an upset on one of these fights, if you could call it an upset with this kind of quality matchups.Quote:

He can potentially win, but I do feel that Mosley at 147 does have the edge.
Cotto is certainly a much better fighter than Gatti...no doubt about that. But Cotto doesn't have a great chin...and he will be fighting a fighter who is very fast and very strong. Shane has a great chin and is in tremendous shape. He will have too much for Cotto. But it should be an exciting fight while it lasts.
If Cotto would've fought Gatti in his prime, believe me, It would have been a 5-7 rnd TKO off a body shot from Cotto. They are both exciting to watch but bring different caliber of of skills and talent. Cotto may have the deadliest left hook to the body in the sport today. He breaks people down and always makes them fight his fight.
Once again, Cotto will win this fight with the jab, setting himself up for a great performance in the late rounds. Many people look at Cotto as a slugger because many are just seeing him for the first time, but I've followed him way before he became pro and he was a good boxer even in the olympics. He just knows when he has to attack. Believe me, we will be talking and ranking Cotto among the top P4P fighters after this one is over. DO NOT place your bets on Mosley.
Mosley has gone to distance in 8 of his last 10 fights. his 2 TKOS

Mosley has gone to distance in 8 of his last 10 fights. his 2 KOS came against who else.......a Vargas who has never been Vargas after the beat down he recieved from TITO. Mosley recieved too much credit for his victories over DE LA HOYA. One on which I saw him lose. Winky and Forrest stopped him with the jab and frustrated Mosley.
With all do respect, Mosley is a great fighter at lightweight. He is only a good fighter at the welterweights. 30 of his 37 ko's came at lightweight.
Mosley has worn down slightly and many have not been able to pick it up yet. Cotto's camp has and are going to take advantage. Trust me on this one, Cotto will win. Cotto will win. It's gonna be a great fight, but Cotto will win. Trust me.
I have been watching Cotto for a long time as well. And while he certainly isn't JUST a slugger...he is a fighter who's defense isn't great and he has a weak chin. Cotto doesn't have the length/range to jab as effectively as you think. Tell me one thing Cotto can do better than Shane? Shane is more skilled, faster, a better chin...and even is stronger in my opinion. Youth is the only advantage Cotto has. So unless Shane grows old and tired in this fight...Cotto is going to get picked apart.
It's hilarious how much faith you have in Cotto's jab!!! I guess we shall see.
a jab stops speed. Its been shown and proven. Especially if they have a longer reach too. The jab will set him up for a workload inside. I guess we will have to wait and see. Go back and see the Cotto-Judah fight, look how Cotto uses his jab, he uses it everytime judah tries to get away from him or everytime he plans an attack. I'm not saying Mosley is the same as Judah, All I'm saying is that Mosley receives too much Glory for his fights with Oscar and we forget about how easily dominated he was against Forrest and Wright.Quote:

I think you are clearly wrong to state that Mosely gets too much glory for his fights with Oscar. He defeated one of the best and most popular fighters in the business...twice. As far as his losses to Forrest and Wright. That was a stylistic match up problem. No shame losing to two great and very difficult fighters (and yes...at that time Forrest was one of the very best in the game).
I like your analysis, Mosley was a great Lightweight Champion, one of the best ever!Quote:

I see this fight as being similar to KT v Hatton, Mosley will be 36 and is going up against the young Lion in Cotto who is younger, hungrier and probably more powerful than Mosley at this stage of their careers.
I like Sugar Shane and i think he has been a credit to the sport of boxing and he is still a very dangerous opponent for Cotto but i feel he will be overpowered by Cotto in the later rounds and i see a win for Cotto by UD or late stoppage. Either way i know Mosley will give his all and Cotto will get one hell of a fight!
