Re: Erik's standing in his era
Pac is only 28 and going strong @ 130.
Re: Erik's standing in his era
It always gives me goosebumps everytime I watch MAB-EM 1 & Pac-EM 1.
Toe to toe, blood and guts. I appreciate those kind of sh*t.

back to the topic though. el terrible I rank above marco inside top 10. I don't have time to make a list but eric is above tito oscar and mosley too. all of those guys lose it there prime. eric only lose to marco in a close war. jones was near unbeatable but he handpicked and division hop. bhop established a kingdom at middleweight taking on every comer in the division, that's more empressive to me thant division skipping and collecting abc titles. winky spent most of his career as a journeyman, thanks to mosley winky got the credit he deserved but even though winky is a defensive wizard, I can't rate him higher than jones or bhop. prolly higher than james toney I`ll have eric and winky maybe top five marco trailing just a step behind. anyways that's just a little to it I will try to make a list of mine if I can to show where I think eric is. I prolly won't include pac in the list because his still young and on the rise.
I really think Pac can take on Juan "baby bull" Diaz @ 135. These guys has been calling out each other.
Now that's the real ultimate test for Pac.
I agree. If Morales can knock Diaz, imagine how it would go for Pacquaio. Diaz would be down before the 5th round.

what is bullshit about fans is that, we make excuses either for our favorite or against the ones we dislike. we have to be fair, if you say eric was old and past it when pac fought him. can you also say pac was prime when they first met?
get real guys. both pac and eric were not prime when they first fought. eric won it and he should but include all the details coming into that fight we damn well suppose to get a eric victory.too bad only a few have the brain power to process how pac-em 1 turned into a trilogy.
anyways, war veteran eric beat young gun pacman in the first fight.
improving war scard pacman defeats aging division king eric in the second.
prime pacman overwhelms decline warrior morales.
now if we want to talk about who wins prime vs prime. its easy to count out the idiots. they give themselves away.when they put one demensional pacman against el terrible. when we talk about prime vs prime we are only including 2007 pacman the top 2 p4p pacman. not the one demensional pacman that lost to eric not the one that drew with jmm and not the one that embarrassed marco. wow think about it, one demensional pacman already has a legendary resume.
anyways prime vs prime eric vs pac it has to be 2002 eric vs 2007 pacman. a 126 pounder eric vs a 130 pounder pacman. they would have to meet at a catch weight. ironically prime pacman is the one from a heavier division because he reach his prime heavier then eric. that alone breaks erics iron chin going against stronger fitted heavier pacman. eric would need to box theres no way he knocks out pacman. but eventually he`ll brawl which is why his taylored fit for pacs destruction.
somebody said 9 out 10 prime eric beats prime pacman? hahahaha like I said guys like this gives themselves away.
first of all manny is always going to be one-dimensional, he only fights one way which is coming foward and all out assault leaving himself open for counters. using his right hand just as much as his left doesn't make him multi-dimensional. when have you seen manny box a fighter, keeping his distance and slippin punches.
I agree that manny makes boxers age rapidly and after the first fight whatever was left of morales was beaten out of him. but morales in the last couple of fights was also fighting the scales. in both knockouts morales was fully conscious and due to his sacrifices made at scales was severely exhausted in the later rounds of the 2nd fight. by the 3rd fight erik couldn't compete at the level one needs to be to fight manny and willfully gave up. In erik's prime, erik had energy to fight 15 rounds and going into the 12th round erik always looked fresher than his opponents couple this with erik's tremendous chin in taking manny's best shots and being a superior all rounded fighter in boxing or brawling prime 4 prime I believe erik beats manny 9 times out of ten.

That's PBF sh*t. That's boring!
Pac would be a boring fighter if he does that.

Got to disagree with you. 9 out of 10 in favor of Manny is better.
Re: Erik's standing in his era
chamiley go watch pacs fight vs. solis and larios even the third moralse fight. then come back and say if pac can't keep his distant and box and dodge punches. when I get the time I will send u highlights of pac dodging punches nd anticipating punches coming. he even does an ali shuffle after making eric mix about three in a row.
9 out of 10 proves your lack of knowledge buddy thanks for doing me the favor of not having to expose you.you did it for me ;)

I watched all those fights, maybe you need to watch them again. solis fight ended the way how pacquio fights are with manny hunting his opponents down with relentless aggression, there was no sweet science there and the 3rd fight with morales was a result of pac being the busier fighter with his activity level being something which morales didn't want to respond to. you seem to worship manny so much you overlook the verity of how great erik was in his prime.
Re: Erik's standing in his era
I'm not over looking eric. you need to see inbetween fight results. just because pac finishes big and is explosive does not mean he does not at times settle to box a bit. no you did not watch those fights closely, you just paid attention to the aggressive pac because of his excitement but notice all his ability. you can't say he can't settle down and box, its not like his all out every second. your lost kid, you made this thread suppose to be talking about where to rank eric but you keep it going with pac and with the wrong guy to debate with. your just an eric fan trying to gain some ground back since pac ended him. its ok I'm an eric fan too but theres a better fighter now, that's pac. you can even ask your boy eric he`ll tell you all about losing to pac. its only natural to try to bring up prime vs prime, your a fanatic ofcourse that's the only way you can feel better after seeing your boy get pummel in three rounds.
anyways get it back to where to rank eric, quit with the prime vs prime because from the get go saying eric wins 9 out 10 proves how useless it is to debate with a fellow with little logiv as that kind of statement. I'm tired of schooling you son, do your self a favor and bring the thread back to its o.g topic.

I can't help but cc you JuliusRAin.You're Pacquaio's stronghold here.
