I doubt he would punch with that arm, just use it to block.
Re: Probably the most stupid question ever to be asked on this board
Espn ran an article last year about a one armed kid that was boxing in a 1 time match I believe he lost for obvious reasons but he did a hell of a job if memory serves

Lol......I'm speechless. Those dudes didn't need any limbs, they could fight 15 guys with their ponytails and still win. Saturday mornings I drove my parents crazy watching that stuff. I'd get through watching those shows and then go try out my new moves on my dad. I could never figure why I'd fall down after 1 punch from my dad, other than it hurt like hell. ;D
Re: Probably the most stupid question ever to be asked on this board
Ha Ha Ha Ha...I Used to sit on the couch until every last one of them were over...I think they would be on til like 3 or something...Here is a story....about being a kid and getting wrapped up in it....
All my cousins were big Kung Fu flick fans as well and REALLY got into them....We were always trying the moves for a time we actually believed we were shaolin munks...One day going to the store we get approached by some older kids teenagers and we were like 9 or 10 at the time....The one kid wanted our money...so we all look at each other and begin to discuss which one of us would represent Shaolin in this Battle!!!!...Travis decided since he was the oldest it was his job as a "Master in Training" ::** to defend first....So after about 5 min of warming up doing all the moves and trying to decide which style he would use...( we all agreed on Praying Mantis)...The fight began...
Travis complete with talking while moving your mouth for 5 seconds after he was done took one roundhouse kick at this kid ( a kick that was about 10 inches off the ground might i add) missing by no less then 3 feet...(But the sound effects created by my other cousin John had it connect with authority!!!!).....once he realizewd he missed he looked at the kid and stated ....AHHH I see your Kung Fu is Very Good it is not often my opponent is able to block an attack!!!......and he said this with genuine sincerity might I add with us all agreeing and warming up in case it should turn into a battle of temple versus temple....So the other kid decided it was his turn to attack....and punched Travis in the stomach ending the fight and relieving us of our funds.....( I don't think he watched Kung Fu Theater)......After that day I gave up Kung Fu fighting and took to boxing......True Story I swear

Oh my :-[ I almost hoped it wasn't true, but somehow I figured it was ;D My dad taught me to box when I was real young, but my parents wouldn't take me to boxing gyms as they were far away. So instead I got into Tae-Kwon-Do ::** It sucked because we had to dress up in so many pads it was like kicking mummies and no face contact. It's good discipline and al that, but I hated the limited contact. Anyways, funny story Daxx, typical kids and naivety for sure. Some lessons are better learned the hard way :-\
Re: Probably the most stupid question ever to be asked on this board
There was a little kid they showed once who was a one armed boxer, but it showed his first fight, and he got worked.
Re: Probably the most stupid question ever to be asked on this board
Roy Jones Jr. used to have one armed tied behind his back when his dad was teaching him as a teenage, and he would beat all the top prospects his dad was teaching.

Hahaha. Wanna try my kung fu with your boxing skills? That's how Travis should have responded. In karate, it's better to wait for your opponent to attack. A little of aikido will also be better than boxing. Taekwondo is good but it's usually more of form than substance. Using your feet is usually dangerous if your opponent knows how to counter and do some evading. One punch and your gone. That's what happened to your friend.
