Yeah...I hear ya on that one.
I could'nt imagine being ringside for that one. Taylor could barely get his wits to dust himself off it seemed for quite sometime.

Unbelievable bout.
Really.
What kills me is the commentating…again.
First & foremost…Merchant was the only one that was really being legit during the entire bout.
Lampley was basically cheerleading for Taylor. Lewis was all up on him…I suppose due to the fact that Manny was in Taylor’s corner. He kept flip flopping back & forth…what choice did he have.
What killed me was the ending…the fact that Lewis said Smoger was on top of Taylor preventing him from getting up wasn’t that disturbing for me…what killed me was when he said “I don‘t know where that shot came from…”.
THAT SHOT?!?!?! What the hell was Lennox talking about?!?!?!
The end of the fight went something like this: Body shot by Pavlik & then the jab starts working! Taylor backs up, Pavlik jabs, right hand, jab, Taylor jabs, right hand wobbles Taylor’s face almost comes off, tries to retaliate & then eats a left hand, right hand, upper, left hand, upper, & then a couple of double lefts, a right, another upper, & Taylor is already out & sliding down as Pavlik throws a left hook & backs out pretty much unconscious.
Taylor was totally gone…blasted out.
Lewis began questioning that until the replay & then it was obvious that Smoger was on point.
I still just can’t get over it…personally I think that this is the upset of the year to date & also the knockout of the year.
I swear some people are so F****** sensitive and take everything to the heart. I don\\\\\\\'t give a F*** about the commentary. I rarely even pay attention to it. I watch HBO, Showtime, ESPN, FSN, Versus and Solo Boxeo to watch the boxing. Not to listen to the talking. Every time after a big fight there some clown starting a thread saying \\\\\\\"Did you hear Merchant say this\\\\\\\" \\\\\\\"O My god Lampley was so bias\\\\\\\". Or \\\\\\\"Lennox Lewis sucks, I hate him\\\\\\\". What I say is, so F****** what! Watch the fights with the volume down. It\\\\\\\'s that F****** simple.
Talk about sensitive...loosen up your pannies little girl...everybody remembers you picked Taylor. You rarely pay attention to the commentarty? Oh please...when it suits you to piss & moan...we all have to hear it...I think you can deal with this discussion. :-*
I don\\\\\\\'t pay attention to the commentary. Which is why I never complain about it. It\\\\\\\'s nit-picking. Looking for something to complain about. Something little old ladies do. Which I guess doesn\\\\\\\'t surprise me that your doing it.
Listen Violent Denise...you don\\\\\\\'t need to get your point across by coming on to the thread & calling names.
You keep that S*** up & I\\\\\\\'ll start deleting your posts.
No one wants to listen to you bitch...& for someone calling someone else a woman...you seem to need a bit of cotton on a string.
If you can\\\\\\\'t play nice...don\\\\\\\'t play at all, it\\\\\\\'s unnecessary.
Fine I\\\\\\\'ll stay off your thread. It\\\\\\\'s obvious your intoxicated again. The alcohol has made you sensitive. Late.
Sober as can be...it\\\\\\\'s just a bit unnecessary to start ripping someone with name calling as you so often do trying to get your point across.
:wavey: Tootle-loo.
Seems a little hypocritical, since it looks like you called him a little girl first. Is it cuz your a mod and he\\\\\\\'s not? Just curious. that\\\\\\\'s all
It\'s because VD often has a habit of letting things escalate out of control & they always get nasty & to a point of no return. You don\'t have use F*** every other word to make yourself understood & just because you don\'t like what you hear does\'nt mean that it\'s not right.
He knows I would\'nt delete his posts. It\'d actually take a lot more than that for me to pull out the \"mod dick\" on him like that. It\'s just me \"gently\" picking back at him to keep it from going further. Gotta take it if you\'re gonna dish it.
Nobody needs to continuously keep getting banned from day to day for attacking various members on different threads. S*** like that get\'s you a permanent ban no matter how much mods disagree on who stays or who goes.
Hope that answered some of the curiousity.
Yes it did. Thanks for the explanation. I think your a great mod. I think Violent Demise is a great poster. It seems like you guys have a certain understanding on things.

:coolclick: Thanks & think nothing of it...it's always best to explain & me & VD always talk & sort things out.
He is a good poster & as I said...I pretty much never have issues sorting through things with him...no matter what the fwock he says. ;D
The thing is...once you become a repeat offender it get's harder & harder to get off the hook & easier to get on it.
I hate seeing some of our back bone members get out of control & I surely hate bans...even if they are temporary ones or whatever it is that he has gotten. It's just not necessary.
Feel me?

taylor gave pavlik the respect one true champion gives another, and i am proud of JT for that...
i have watched the fight about 3 or 4 times and i think Ledderman's scoring was dead on... it was 5 to 2 rounds pavlik....
i think the most shocking thing of the fight was that pavlik had a better jab than taylor.... harder and just as fast, another being how good of a boxer pavlik is....
pavlik will win the rematch, but i think it is clear to see that jermain and his people do not want a rematch, just yet...
hopefully pavlik will fight abraham or sturm next.... i think he will unify then move to 168 lbs....
taylor is still a threat to anyone from 168 and below and will be champ again...
super-middleweight might be the second best devision next year...

What really got me the most was that his jab & his straight right became almost identical throughout the fight & Taylor could'nt dodge one or the other.
I'd love to see Pavlik unify...I just hope that he does.
Re: Pavlik vs Taylor revisited...some things I saw that I did'nt the first time.
I gotta say - that's the first fight that's had me on my feet throwing punches at the screen in a long time.

pavlik's straight right is one of the hardest punches P4P in boxing...
and his jab ripped taylor's head back each time it landed..
Re: Pavlik vs Taylor revisited...some things I saw that I did'nt the first time.
I thought it was a great fight from both fighters, I was really surprised how aggresive Taylor was in the early rounds considering how negative he'd been in his last few fights.
Pavlic has one hell of a chin thats for sure and seems to have devised a really effective style all of his own, great speed fexibility and power, he should go far but I dont think he should be rushed.
He definitely has to do some work on his defense.
Lennox was a great fighter but he's like a cardboard plank as a commentator.
If we want deluded fantasy Chris Eubank could do a far more entertaining job.
I thought Smoger was spot on I'd love it if he reffed the Mayweather Hatton fight but its never going to happen.
I've got the Jay Nady shakes on that one. ;D
Re: Pavlik vs Taylor revisited...some things I saw that I did'nt the first time.
Hey Wacko, is it just me or does Taylor ask if he got knocked out. Watch right before they get Taylor up, I could swear he says that. Just curious to see if anyone else thinks so.

Yep.
Both of them were knockin' each other senseless.
When Taylor dropped Pavlik & Pavlik was talkin' with Jack in his corner it was basically the same situation as Taylor...cept he made it out. When he hit his stool the second thing he said was...what happened. He knew he had been hit...but not what happened for the rest of the round or what hit him. Jack had to tell him what went wrong.
That's some crazy shit.
Poor Taylor...he did'nt have a shot in hell at makin' it out because Pavlik put the kibosh on his ass. Taylor was out before his ass hit the mat...seriously, not figuratively speaking. He had his chin on his chest & his fwockin eyes were closed. They were slapping him on the cheeks to jog him back into consciousness.
The minute he looked up he asked what had happened. When they helped him up on to his stool...they had to literally help him & he was still trying to figure out where the hell he was. I've never seen him look so desperate.
He still could'nt believe it...even in the dressing room he was saying that he could'nt believe it.
I shit ya not...I was impressed...Taylor's got a pretty good chin & Kelly's jabs were knocking Jermain silly.

I dont think it was an upset cuz I knew Taylor was guna win .
I think Lewis was saying that stuff cuz he still remembers how frustrating it is when a ref stops an undefeated world champion without giving him a chance .
I watched this fight yesterday aswell and even in round 2 I still thought Pavlik was guna win . He had it under control in the 3rd and you could see Taylor had shot his load so to speak . I cant see Taylor doing much better in a return either cuz he was up for that fight . He was the sharpest and most mentally focused ive ever seen him but he could still only last 7 .
