If Pavlik can carry his power up in weight, he stops Calzaghe in the mid-rounds

Pavlik has never fought a wild and reckless fight why start now. Kelly is a natural southpaw who fights right so he knows how to fight southpaws. Thats why he carries power in both hands.

SPEED KILLS and whoever beats Kelly is going to be quick and precise and I can see Joe doing that....I could see a younger RJJ doing it better but hey you take what is given to you.

Joe's speed will negate Kelly's power...don't see it if you don't want to but sharp punching quick southpaws aren't anybody's favorite to fight and I don't think Kelly will be any different. Your qualifier of "there is not a MIDDLEWEIGHT in the world that can stand and trade power shots with Kelly"....I think everyone agrees with that however, Joe Calzghe isn't a middleweight now is he? And Joe won't be standing and trading with him either will he? Joe will get Kelly to come at him in a wild wreckless manner and Joe will counter him and land better shots.

Getting caught flush by power shots from Taylor and Calzaghe and night and day two different things. I took Pavlik by KO for the following reason, they are both come forward fighters, therefore they will both make contact, and I believe Joe has zero power left, Pavlik will walk through his punches. Will it be easy or pretty? Hell no. But I've said my peace Pavlik KO

Joe is not a 1 punch power kind of guy, he's going to hurt you with speed and accumulation of punches. Sure it'll be different but Jermain wasn't even an accumulation puncher, he couldn't hurt Ouma but he floored Pavlik!


Sure Pavlik-Calzaghe needs to happen...I am not sure it will happen but I hope it does. I'm not a fan of either guy but I would love to see them fight.

Kelly had a harder time with Taylor when Jermaine opted for a counterpunching smart fight. This is a Jermaine Taylor who was explosively heavy handed and could hurt Kelly.
On the other hand Super Joe is a come forward guy with speed but is not known for his punching power and get's caught with big right hands.

Come forward Joe + BIG right handed Kelly= Kayo win for Kelly

I can see how Kelly could beat Calzaghe but I just think it's time for Kelly to lose and I think Joe's the guy to make him lose IF THEY FIGHT

Jermain has always had good power, but was always reluctant to engage and use it. Kelly forced him to use his power as he would not get out of his face. You can tell the way Taylor throws he has some good steam in his shots. Damn I wished he fought every fight like that.
