Pavli knocks out Wright in 8, Wright does not punch hard to keep Pavlik out. If Taylor got too and hurt Wright, Pavlik will put him to sleep.

This fight would be so boring that I hope it isn't on pay per view. I can see it now: Pavlik: Jab, jab, jab, right hand. Winky: block jab, block jab, block jab, get hit with the occasional, non flush, right hand. Pavlik by unanimous decision.
I think like few people said if Pavlik went down to the body hard and made Winkey drop his hands and get some good shots off i think he would knock Winky out and tell me how is Winky going to keep Pavlik off of him when he could not keep Vargas off him this time it is a bigger man with more power and this like i said before will be going to the Ghost Kelly Pavlik by way of Knock out in round 10, 11, or 12 and that is the way i feel
I tend to agree. After watching Pavlik k.o. Taylor and Winky having a real close fight with JT, I think Winky would play his peek-a-boo all night and Pavlik would be chasing him. Might be very boring as Wright would do nothing but cover up and try for the occasional counter shot. If Pavlik won it would be ud or very late k.o. Everyone knows what Pavlik is going to bring, that's a no-brainer, so how the fight plays out depends alot on how Winky decides to handle it. Could be very boring or a damn good fight. How's that for a prediction ::**Quote:

Sure Pavlik defeated Taylor...but Taylor by rule of thumb doesn't fight smart fights.
The main issue that everyone keeps talking about is Pavlik working the body...but again...rule of thumb...Pavlik is a head hunter & rarely focuses on the body. He threw only a handful of successful body punches against Taylor...what won him that fight was the fact that Taylor can not fight on the back foot.
Wright can & will.
I just don't see Wright being the fall guy that everyone here seems to.
Listen Wright is a good fighter but at higher then 154 he just not as great as he was and that is all i got to say Wacko i see Winky losing
He defeated Trinidad, Soliman, Quartey, & argueably Taylor all at 160lbs.Quote:

None of those are pushovers & Winky shut down a power puncher in Trinidad pretty easily with nothing more than his defense & a jab.
We'll have to chalk this up as a disagreement that will not be answered until the end of their match up.
I hope it happens next year; will give us a whole sh#tload to argue about with each other :D One thing about Kelly, he seems more interested in winning than worrying about losing, if that makes sense. ::**Quote:

He has long range and power, Kelly would likely have the arsenal to bust right thru Wright's defens and would be far enough away to do it where Wright wont be able to counter as well... when Wright is at his best he is usually the bigger man, with the even or better reach.. when Wright gives up his size and reach that’s when he lose the matches.. Wright looked cemented last time out..Quote:

Agreed that Pavlik is a force to be reckoned with but he's faced some really limited & flawed fighters defensively. Wright's an entirely different animal when on game.
It'll have to be a "wait & see'er" for me.
Thanks, CC back Wack ;)
Not EVERYONE Wack,go back a page or two :bag: sounds odd maybe But Wright can fight "under" Pavliks height Imo. CC for good pointsQuote:

One thing's for sure...out of the last 3-4 years we haven't had a middleweight fighter that has generated this much excitement in awhile...not one that you can actually believe in.
