Dudes come on! Sometimes i can't believe the way us fells are! Some of these answers are attempts at humour that really are just exposing the Chauvanistic undercurrent that is present in male society.
If you want to spare her feelings (or in your case save yourself hassle,) a white lie is ok. But that lie must entail something which costs you not her, perhaps like Tito Magic Man said or perhaps that you have to get back with your wife...something that makes it your fault not hers.
Mayb in future you'll consider the woman, her feelings and her future before you fuck her and leave her.
Women have feelings? Since fucking when?

I don't see a problem with it, women do the same thing all the time. She's just some girl he hooked up with and doesn't want to see again, what's chauvanistic about that?
Don't let the PC modern feminist people convince you anyone with a penis is automatically more duplicitous and less evolved than a woman.
Sorry if that comes across a bit harsh, but I have to put up with this PC feminist bullshit all goddamn day at school and I've had about enough of it...

I should tell the dean. The one of my profs is an active participant in the daily male-bashing. Half the class just hates it and the other half (mostly feminist-types) loves to send a lecture off the rails by constantly commenting on this sort of stuff. Even when it has nothing to do with the lecture at hand... Sometimes I actually can't believe I'm paying a good chuck of cash to be there.

Nice, good luck with that.

Thank you, I'm studing it because I enjoy it, not becuase of the proliferation of jobs for arts students - obviously. Aside from doing archaeological field-work, I'd really like to end up working in a museum at some point (particularily a historical or war museum). But I'll probably just end up pumping gas for all the people who were smart enough to get useful degrees at university ;D.
sorry to the origional poster for hijacking his thread, I'll shut up now.

I'm doing my masters in medieval history at the moment (part time distance learning) and that's got an archaeological module in it, and like you I'm pretty much certain that it probably won't get me a fantastic job, or land me the beautiful women....but if only.... :p

You never know, Professors get paid quite well. And think about all the young female students you'll be able to impress. Sometimes girls do bad things in exchange for good grades ;)

That was pure cheese, but it made me laugh. I'd cc you if I was sure you wouldn't prefer a sc.

I was an undergrad the last time I saw a fit young female student even in the same department as me, it seems populated with people who can speak about history mainly because they lived through most of it.

Consider yourself lucky, most of my history classes (probably because I'm an undergrad) are populated with people who are convinced that they, by virtue of that fact that they are 18-22 years old, know everything there is to know, and would love to explain to you how the U.S. is the root of all evil in the world and what they are telling you must be true because they read it on a website.
