Ahh you may be right, perhaps in Russia Sasha is short for Alexander like in the UK Bill is short for William :) :)

Povetkin-Chambers.....who you got?
This is an extremely interesting matchup and between two unbeaten heavyweight prospects for a shot at Wladimir Klitschko's IBF title.
Size - Povetkin
Speed - Chambers
Power - Povetkin
Defense - Chambers
Chin - unknown but Chambers can take a shot
Stamina - push
I think Povetkin has all the tools to dismantle Chambers the way Wlad beat Chris Byrd....using the jab keeping distance and throwing the right cross.
Chambers like Byrd is not a runner but a duck and cover defensive fighter he usually throws in flurries and if he's able to get Povetkin's timing down he COULD end up schooling him by staying in close throwing flurries and tying up.
Povetkin will be able to hurt Chambers but I am not so sure of Eddie hurting Povetkin.
This fight is this weekend, I am very excited about it though I doubt either fighter would have success vs Wladimir Klitschko

You know what Lyle ?? this is the first Heavyweight fight i have been interested in quite some time. Im taking Povetkin by UD.

Chambers struggled against Hawkins and Brock, both who are good but not at Povetkins level. His biggest avantage is experience in the pros but Povetkins been in with some good fighters and has a good amateur background too. I think Povetkin stopk him late.

I agree I just hope it's a good back and forth fight and not a complete domination by one fighter.
....although I think Povetkin will be well ahead on the cards as it goes the distance

Chambers by UD, his speed and 30 fights give him the edge imo.

I go with Eddie to. He looked bored and frustrated in the Guinn video. I suspect he'll be charged for this one. Of course its Germany so someone has to go with Povetkin so im saying SD.

I think it will be Povetkin. Alex is a very smart fighter and I think that he will simply wear down Chambers and stop him late. Chambers (who I like to call the heavyweight version of Winky Wright because he guards his chin great, he's crafty, but he doesn't have power) will fare well for a while but I can't see him winning the fight.

Winner becomes No1 contender for IBF belt so if when Povetkin fights Wlad he will win Wlad is on borrowed time people thats if Sultan does'nt beat him first.
