Re: Ricky Hatton interview-already weighs 148 pounds?!
AS LONG AS HE'S NOT FAT.
As bad as Ricky's style is for a Mayweather Style. And as Ricky is also the smallest of the Beasts of 147...
... I think Ricky is going to do much better than we all expect.
His calmness is a dead-give-away at how well he's going to do.
I've never seen a Floyd opponent this calm in AGES.
Re: Ricky Hatton interview-already weighs 148 pounds?!
I have to CC you for that too VD,your one liners are classic. No offence Dan,but fighting Floyd Mayweather and fighting Tszyu could not be anymore different.2 completely different styles.

Contrast Ruiz with Spinks.

It'd be nice to be wrong like VD sometimes, just to add a little variation to life.
Unfortunately, I live with the burden of being right all the time.
Ricky by KO.
I doubt that. Even Matthew Hatton is putting money on Mayweather. He knows a sure thing when he sees one
I don't understand why people think Ricky will KO Mayweather... I love Hatton and dispise PBF but lets be serious!
At this stage of the game I'd say it was just as unlikely that he'd stop Tszyu as well, every single analyst thought Hatton wouldn't make it out of 6 rounds, just like every boxing analyst thinks Hatton will be picked off like nobodies business and cut up like a christmas turkey. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Mayweather goes out on a stretcher.
The only way Mayweather touches a stretcher on Dec 8 is if he helps carry Hatton out.
CC; LMMFAO. Classic one-liner from VD. It be da' truth tho' :D
F***IN GREAT!!!!
CC VD
Damn I am still laughing on that one. What a mental picture: Floyd still in his gloves grabbing the corner of the stretcher while Billy, Matthew and Ellerbe jockey for the other corners. Hatton lying there comatose and then Floyd decides to pose for a picture 1/2 way down the steps and drops his corner, with Hatton tumbling down on Merchant's fat head. LOL :fight:

Re: Ricky Hatton interview-already weighs 148 pounds?!
I'm looking forward to the Hatton Mayweather 24/7 shows. The first one in the UK is Wednesday but apparently Sunday in the US. Hopefully it's on Youtube Sunday night. Mayweather(s) stole the show last time but this time Hatton is the star. :)

When Floyd moved up to fight Oscar, I thought he did the smart thing by only moving up to 150 (and he claimed he only weighed 148 by fight night), instead of going all the way up to 154. On the other hand, Winky went all the way up to 170 against BHop, when he should have come in closer to 160.
Ricky should weigh around 142 or 143 for this fight. In other words, he should train the exact same way as he does for his 140 fights, but not worry about sweating off the final 2 or 3 pounds.
Absolutely Right!
Re: Ricky Hatton interview-already weighs 148 pounds?!
In fairness, it's been two years since Mayweather delivered a KO. I believe that before the fight Billy Graham said that Hatton would train as if it was a fight at 140lbs. I firmly believe that this is Mayweather's toughest fight ever. If Mayweather wins, I will view him as one of the greatest of all time. In fact let me go a little further; We are so lucky that this fight is happening. We have the opportunity to see one of these two fighers cement themselves as an all time great. How often has one fight delivered such an amazing possibility? Three weeks is such a long time :(
