Why should Casamayor be stripped of his belt? He didn't officially lose! Stripping only leads to the mess we have today. It's up to that organization to overall the decision or rule it a no contest.

Joel is not the best in the division & I never once said he was. But he is still the champion because he hasn't lost it in the ring!!! The judges are the ones to blame not The Ring!

what boxing needs is some real rich guy to buy out all the big organisations and instantly unify them.

Trust me leftylee the last thing you need to be doing is rooting for another belt to try and become recognized.
For starters the IBO is just a trinket. I personally feel the only recognized titles are:
Ring
WBA
WBC
IBF
WBO

The IBO will never be a major title you can rest assured on that.

How Oleg vs. Sam became an Eliminator I don't know. I mean Sam beat Okhelo and Cley-Bey.... That put him there in the Eliminator??
It appears to me as tho Okhelo is very likeable by the WBC he keept getting in there as he fought Oleg for the title.
It's just to big of a mess for me and for that I recognize Wlad as the true Heavyweight champ. Once the unified champ is this case Lennox jumped ship and let the belts go it was a free for all. Hes fighting Sultan now and if and when he beats him that IMO will even be more of a reason to either recognize him or at least put him 1 step closer to being recognized as the Heavy champ.
However I do also understand where you are coming from and why you don't recognize him as the champ.
IMO both sides are a reasonable arguement as to why he is and isn't the recognized champ.

I agree with a lot of what your saying Mick!
I refuse to recognize either Maskaev or Peter as a champ, they are the number 2 & 3 rated heavyweights & thats all.
When Wlad defeats Sultan it will definitely strengthen his position as the #1 guy in the division. But until he defeats the #2 guy or maybe the #3 that's all he'll be IMO & the Rings!
The thing that bugs me most about the alphabet fools is if you follow them you'll never have a real champ! They end up stripping sooner or later & the mess will continue. Vitali was champion but retired leading to the mess we have now. But once the vacancy is filled the bogus organizations can strip all they want because the Ring champ will still be champion even without a bogus belt until he loses it in the ring or retires!
If Wlad defeats the winner of Maskaev/ Peter & gets stripped of ever alphabet belt he holds I guarantee many if not of us will still recognize him as champ!

Weren't you trying to convince me in another thread that because that scouser has a WBU belt he ought to be considered among the British world champions, as well as Gary Lockett himself. Fact is the middleweights are a weak division at the moment, and it's like throwing a dart at a list of 30 or 40 people to who gets rated where.
