Hatton is a good fight for him and Ricky and Floyd both deserve to find out who the best is...it's a good fight with a deserving challengerQuote:

I never said Floyd wasn't a good fighter but he has chosen to fight some sorry ass fights and it's the truth
Yeah, you're right Robby. I "love the ricans", basically because i AM one. Secondly, you're right again. I left out the source, which of course was BoxingScene. But someone else already pointed that out. My bad. Thirdly, you're right yet again. Floyd does NOT make my dick stand up. Apparently, he does yours. And as for whether he's ducking Cotto, I guess we'll just have to see, if and when he gets past Hatton.Quote:

That was his first fight at 147 for fucks sake..Ever heard of a tune up fight or a fight to get adjusted to the weight? Everybody wants to talk shit about his recent opposition who havn't even been all that bad but nobody wants to mention his accomplishments throughout his WHOLE career! He has been fighting valid world champions since the age of 21 since his 18th pro fight when most fighters like Hatton, Margarito and even Cotto were still fighting the bum of the month at that stage in their careers!! The difference is Mayweather was fighting these guys who were in their prime while he was still green and inexperienced and still making them look silly!! He's pound for pound because throughout his whole career nobody has done what he has done all you people bitching about how he's ducked this person and that person need to compare another boxers entire career with Floyds..Floyd will always come out on top.Quote:

....if you are as good as Floyd you don't need tune ups!
Yet again I will mention he has never unified nor tried to unify the titles in any weight class ever so that means at least 3 fighters PER DIVISION were not fought by Floyd....I didn't say he ducked them but they had just as much credibility as title holders as Floyd and therefore Floyd is 1/3rd as great as he thinks he is.
I'm tired of excuses Floyd needs to step up and fight the best and with Hatton he's taking a step in the right direction
Good man,good posting.CC.Quote:

Pretty ignorant statement, Floyd moves up 7 lbs and fights Mitchell who was considered a threat still and not 100% written off. Floyd makes him look the fool and all of a sudden he was an 20W-15L type fighter ::**Quote:

Thats your standard Lyle and if you dont see the value in a fighter fighting over 24lbs his natural weight and retaining his skills attributes and abilities while still operating at the highest level well then thats your short sightednessQuote:

ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!!!!!!
Also fighters have real short careers in comparison to life, if Floyd wanted to accompolish certain feats and move up the latter being mindful of the hour glass which is his age in life, than good for him if he did. Now he can settle down in Welter and finish an already Hall of Fame stellar career.
Gamo snicker all you want and piggy back on all the Floyd hate, even though you disclaim everypost about Floyd saying your a fan of his BUT!!!! Floyd is a no doubt abouter 1st ballot Hall Of Fame lock. Cotto and Margarito aint there yet.

Calm down JT Rock. Stop getting so aggravated over nothing, drama queen ;D ??? I am a fan of his talents,I've said that on numerous occasions. However,I'm not a fan of his attitude and I think he could have a far far better resume.I don't see what Cotto and Margarito have to do with this(going off topic as per usual) ;D :D
Dont call me drama queen. off topic ??? it all has to do with your bias Jim ;)Quote:

Anyone who knows me well here knows I respect Mayweather and his talents. I always say his defence is GOAT.Just because I don't agree with blind nuthugging akin to yours or dont' proclaim Floyd to be as great as you do,doesn't make me biased, ??? ::**
Fight a prime fighter his own size hasnt been in Floyds plans since leaving lightweight.
Nobody can't deny that Floyd boxing #1 P4P, but everything Lyle said is absolutely true, except maybe the clucking part. I don't think even Lyle denies that Floyd is #1 P4P, but it's naive to think Floyd hasn't carefully handpicked his oponents since moving up. That's doesn't mean that he couldn't have cleaned up a division, but he hasn't been willing to take the risk. He's been declaring himself a GOAT since before he really earned it. He has not always fought the best fighters available. Nobody can argue with Floyd's resume and accomplishments at 135 and below, but since moving up with the big-boys, he's had, shall we say nicely, a very well managed career and handpicked fights.Quote:

That fight was basically a natural prime jr welterweight against and past prime WW. It was as much a true JWM fight at Vargas Mayorga was a SMW fight.
One of the reasons why this fight with Hatton is so great is that's it's first prime-v-prime fight he's had in a while, against an undefeated fighter with a great resume, against a guy who is a natural sized opponent for him. One of the problems I have with Floyd is that he just might be a GOAT, but he refuses to prove it in the ring against all comers. He plays games, tries to maximize every nickle on every fight, and he's only 30. I can take that crap from an old boxer, but this guy is only 30 and he should be fighting more and against better opposition. He robbed us of 3 years of his prime. As a fan, you should be pissed off at him. Since 2002, he's had 2 meaningful fights - Judah and ODLH. Hatton will make #3, and in reality, this is his most meaningful fight since Castillo in Dec. 2002.
makes no fuggin sense talking about bxing a buisness some needs to do a front flip on him
