WBO is a garbage belt and always has been. When a dead fighter can move up on the rankings you know that organization is a joke. If Con wins a vacant WBO title I will not be impress. Especially if he does it against some bum Warren scrapes up
I would be too, but to be honest its not all about having a belt. Manny Pac doesnt have one and look where he is now, I know its a totally differnt kettle of fish but still. As long as Khan fights some good fighters in the future who is actually bothered about a belt that says I am the best in that organizations opinion. In years to come Khan will get better and be in a lot of good match ups, im sure of this!
A Warren fighter in a lot of good match ups? I'll believe it when I see it
Chavez Jnr has fought twice as many bums. Chavez ain't fought anyone.
Thats because Chavez Jr had no amateur fights so he is still learning his trade.
still he needs to move up a bit now to be honest.

WBO is a huge belt in the super middle weight division. So?
Benn had it then Eubanks then Collins then Calzaghe. Some might say it's the belt to have in the super middle weight division. Who says that? You? You don't count
Sorry but calling the WBO belt "garbage" is just so so so wrong. No it's not. Cuz that's what it is
Is Manny pacquiaos WBC International title garbage? Yes it is
You clearly haven't got a clue then have you. It's like Tszyu and his IBF belt, that was the big one in the division.
Beat Tszyu and you're the best in the division.
Same goes for the WBO super middle weight belt. Collins, Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe the best four super middle weights ever, all were after the WBO.
You clearly have some issues or maybe you're just plain bent!
After all IBF,WBC,WBA have all been known to break the rules and be corrupt.
you must be bent.

He will come up with some other excuse you may as well give up ;D
Re: Are Khan and Chavez Jr the next big things?
its is true though that belts just dont mean that much no more...
Re: Are Khan and Chavez Jr the next big things?
As long as Papa Chavez has anything to do with it, Junior's unbeaten streak will continue to grow by feasting on "no-names." After all, Papa himself feasted on 40-some tomato cans before venturing out of Mexico to fight a real fighter. And then, with the 100-win mark within sight, he sought to fatten THAT record also by fighting some dubious competition. Yeah... a chip off the ol' block.
Re: Are Khan and Chavez Jr the next big things?
I doubt very much that Chaves jr would be able to get away with beating 100 bums. but he needs to pick it all up now. We will see this year, i hope he can pick it. he needs to

Roy Jones was the Super Middleweight ever. Anybody that considers Collins the best ever at anything doesn't know shit about boxing. You don't know shit about boxing

Roy Jones at 168 may be one of the most talented if not the most gifted fighter to ever grace the ring...(And remember I said at 168...even though he was not there that long his performances were jaw dropping master pieces).....That includes PBF and possibly Robinson...at 168 Roy had it all

He used Pazienza as a game in this fight

The most impressive thing he did @ 168 was destroy then top 2 P4P fighter James Toney. Never before or since has a guy ranked so high been made to look so silly. Roy made a future hall of famer look like an amateur in their first fight.
Re: Are Khan and Chavez Jr the next big things?
He was just that Damn good...and there is really no other way to say it but that...

I'll say it again, BOTH did not have an amateur career. Take any amateur boxer out there on his 30th fight or 40th fight to face any guy in the pros for a belt and see how he does. No matter what, Chavez is still a hall of famer for a reason.
