Re: soo...what football (soccer) team does everyone support here??
hahaha, ol' Steve is the heart and soul of that club.....no matter how many goals Torres scores, Gerrard will always be the man until he hangs up the boots
I hope to God that they sign Jozy Altidore (in the future) or that Jozy goes to a team outside the EPL

yeah heard alot about that fella. Freddy Adu is the most overated thing since Prince Naz tho!! haha i reallllllyyy dont rate him all that highly when you consider the likes of dos santos, messi, bojan krkic, gago, higuin, arguero, ustari etc are all around the same age and are all making much bigger impressions in better leagues then the portuguese league. BTW dont screw....but im pretty surprised your as into football as you are i didnt think it was well received at all across the pond!

Hey for America Freddy Adu is an awesome player.....I think he'll turn out ok, he's frickin 18 and he's been playing soccer IN AMERICA VS AMERICANS!!!!! No one of those guys you named would have come out as great as they are having only to play against those guys in the MLS! Freddy will catch on over there, he's not going to be the end all be all but he'll be the best American player over in Europe .......until this guy gets over there

One thing that benefits our players (other than Onyewu) is that the play in America is very physical as Beckham has found out and he doesn't appreciate it. Altidore is much more than a big boot, he has some touch too.
Adu is just the recipient of too much press too soon....he's a good player especially considering he's from America you cannot deny it, but he's been built up to the point where he needs to score every game and it's just not his bag and it's impossible to do.....he has skill, just let him get used to that style of play and he'll get to be a pretty good player
Yeah I dig soccer....it gets me in the mood to drink imports and gives me reason to drink pre-noon on weekends ;D
