I really don't understand what your problem is i said i did not want to debate with you, because i didn't like what you implied last time plus we have been arguing too much lately. But that doesn't mean we have to ignore each other completely i have still spoken to you have i not ?? when you wanted to know the question about Amir Khan's opponent in the amateurs i answered it, when you wanted to know how many kids Hopkins had i answered it, when you uploaded that fight i gave you credit and CC you did i not ?? i just think we shouldn't debate because we end up arguing but like i said earlier we don't have to ignore each other completely.
As for Ali threads i don't post in Ali appreciation threads i did post in Althugz's thread but that wasn't appreciation thread, and plus i wanted to know his opinion on a few of Ali's controversial fights. Leonard was also the biggest name around, so it would make sense to jump up & fight him.

Like I said Mick there was no offense...I could also understand your point on the whole issue....Rican is one of those guys who does not go overbpard but just makes those one line digs and stirs things up...Then plays innocent,,,,this was perfect example.....But there was no offesne taken on anything on my part...I was just saying I did not understand how it all came on me lol....

Since certain posters are so touchy and volatile without really knowing me too much (since I post casually), they assume that I am being sarcastic and posting things for reaction purposes. We all know what happens when you assume (you make an ass out of you but not me *comment made to add a funny and different take to the the common version of the phrase, not to be sarcastic or imply certain posters are asses*). When the "bottle" comment was posted I was mocking/making fun of the way Panama Lewis said it more than anything else. Perhaps I should have simply stated my opinion that when I think of Aaron Pryor, the first two things I think about are: a) What an animal, b) But...that bottle controversy... These are my last thoughts on this unnecessary "drama." But CC to Mick.

Why didn't Pryor just go up to weltwerweight anyway?
It's not as if the super lightweight division was a marquee division where you could make loads of money.
Pryor could have had some mega battles with the likes of Leonard, Hearns & Duran.
I cannot accept that man who fought Tommy Hearns, Wilfred Benitez & Roberto Duran would be scared of fighting Aaron Pryor.

Aaorn Pryor was an absolute animal at 140,a beast and would have given nearly any 140 pounder a tough fight. However,I agree with Mick with regards to the bottle incident. I can't quote the post but I agree with it totally. Arguello was snapping Pryor's neck so far back,I thought it was going to fall off. Then Pryor has his drink,comes out like it's round 1 and the whole scenario of how the bottle was asked for. Then,after getting the heck beaten out of him the rounds before,he looks all fresh and energised and starts launching vicious punches and wins? I'm not buying it.Just imo though but that whole scenario stunk.

I just can't think of anything at all that you can stick into a drink that will send you back out there fresh as a daisy after taking a beating. Fuck, if such a thing existed..PASS THAT SHIT!! I'm not ignorant enough to think things like steroids etc don't exist in boxing but..in fact that is what makes me believe it was pure heart and animal instinct that kept Pryor going that night, because I doubt there is a drug in the world he could have been taking that would have helped keep him up. Well I can definitely agree with you that it was shady. Knowing that water is only allowed at ringside, I can't imagine how stupid his trainer was asking for the 'mixed' bottle when he should be fully aware that the corners get filmed between rounds.
What about the rematch..Pryor K.O in 10? Nothing shady there so that clears his name for me. (How far apart were the 2 fights? How old was Alexis? Past his peak?)

General consensus=Alexis lost it after their first fight. He had already had 70 plus pro fights and was in his thirties.I think the second fight was a year after. You could tell from the opening bell that Arguello had lost some of the fire he used to have.Still a decent win for Pryor.
