Roy needs the rematch with tarver.. tarver was a late bloomer anyway and relatively fresh for his age when roy and him fought with only twenty something fights at the eage of like 37.. but now he and roy are both 39 and if clinton doesnt take out antonio i think roy could do him at this stage...
And fights like winky are also good for roy.. Winky is great but coming to an end and fitness wise winky needs that 160 limit to be tip top although h e did himself proud at 170.. Roy i think has an advantage over Winky

Then out of nowhere,Morales and Barerra want to come back,MAB on PPV?!Who the hell is there to fight PPV? Trinidad and Jones was about all I can handle of these giimicky fights,then Jones calling out everyone bar guys who have beaten him/Bad Chad Dawson. Oscar calling out 3 little guys to jump 2 divisions to fight him and then a crock of a rematch with Floyd. WTF is this!!?! It's time for "out with the old,in with the new" imo,this year could be amazing if these old bandicoots/legends would retire and not eat HBO's and everyone else money.

I think the Trend now days is to make Pointless fights. Roy trinidad was a pointless fight. it was good fight but pointless none the less. Roy hasn't been below 160 in like 15 years.
everybody wants a peice of the cash cow know as DLH. As long as DLH generates the money he does people will continue to call him out. Roy bringin up DLH just shows how bad this whole DLH trend has goten. I think you should atlest be a welter weight if your gonna call out DLH these days.
I'm much rather see Jones fight: Bernard Lacy Calzaghe Taylor Pavlik. Hell i like to see him fight Winky but starving yourself to fight a guys who hasn't won a fight in like two years is gay.

Roy is just saying anything to get people talking about Roy,because he is smart ,anything to draw attention. No he is not going to 156 thats rediculous .He had a hard enoughtime making 168. The more he gets people talking about him again the more money he could make. I respect what he has done in the ring but he also does pretty good outside the ring.

Agreed, CC. I mused on this in the build-up to his fight with Tito, which I believe did quite well in PPV buys over in the US, and that was what struck me before the fight was how many threads there were debating different things that Roy had said. Where his boxing skills may have faded, his mouth certainly hasn't!

The whole scene of shit up against all the amazing things yet to come this year is ridiculous and theres no place for reminiscing with old returning legends when the prime warriors are all fighting and itss the best going up against the best..
As far as entertainment and fans actually caring i think Marco has enough in the tank to make a comeback and its not ridiculous to the same extent as erik, a above weight tito or an aged roy Jones..
But at the same time theres no one of the highest meaning he needs to face.. he has already faced anyone he needs or needed to and theres nothing more to prove..
