Floyd Mayweather sr. he teaches the best defensive skills to his fighters, and I value my brain before anything else, the things he did with Oscar's defense still amaze me.

I watched that episode. Great episode. Only one I've watched all the way thru too. That buffed up guy, Jimmy Smith I guess you said his name is, he was pretty good. He definately had some previous boxing expierence. I was very impressed with that guy.

As a cut man I would go for Cuck Bodak or Hatton's cut man. It was nice how he closed that cut on Hatton's eye against Mayweather 8) .

Billy Giles - Teaches the general Camacho/Malignaggi slick style and does it well..
James Toney - Pass on his legendary style
Bernard Hopkins could really pass on alot of tricks and a training regime uncomparable to the restt

Has anybody mentioned Lou Duva? For defense, I would have a toss up between Lou Duva (trained Pernell Whitaker), Mayweather, and Billy Giles.

OF the current guys, I'd take Freddie Roach. His accent is music to my ears and he grew up one town away from where I live. He's very calm in the corner, and he doesn't give too much info, he give just the enough advice to keep you doing what you need to win. I train, and I know enough about my mentality in the ring that I need a focused, calming voice to keep me relaxed and focused on the right things. I would give a weeks pay for a few hours training with Freddie.

George Benton was actually the guy who trained Pernell and taught him all about defense. Duva was technically the chief second in Whitaker's corner, but Benton was the actual trainer/strategist.
Same thing with Meldrick Taylor, Holyfield... all those guys. Duva and Benton trained them, but Benton was the guy who did most of the teaching in the gym.

Have you ever heared Israel talk in person recently?
Also Roachs concern was that after the surgery that Israel went through to repair his broken nose and the type of fight that he fought that the time that he gave himself to comeback was too soon and that he didn't want any part of it.
So what's wrong with that booze?
