If he gets started earlier he opens himself up more to the flurry coming from Williams. Not saying it's a lock for Williams by any means, but he will get banged a lot more. May make for a FOTY candidate as they should both smack each other around.

Williams might hit him more, but Margo has got a a significant power advantage over Williams, so I'm sure he'd gladly trade power shots with the Punisher.
If Margo gets on him early and manages to counter-punch Williams he might make Williams more hesitant to open up and throw those flurries as well.
yea paul is rite nobody wants to fight not even tony cause he know what paul can do and especially after seeing blow away quintana everybodys gonna be avoiding him at welter
Margarito wanted an immediate rematch Williams and Goofy Goosen said NO!!! they knew they were lucky.
Williams needs to settle with Quintana first theyre 1/1 and the Quintana win by totally outboxing williams was far more impressive than the rematch win
First off i don't know how you can call 8-4, 7-4-1, 7-5, lucky he clearly won the fight but atleast those scores and he stopped Antonio Margarito's offense with his own and even though Antonio Margarito is known as a good finisher remind me who won the 12th round clearly ? thats right Paul Williams...........
And why does Paul Williams need to fight Carlos Quintana again ? thats silly he looked past Carlos Quintana and he payed the price but demolished him in half a round in the rematch so i don't see what good a trilogy would do he proved he is the better man and i don't think even Carlos Quintana himself would want a trilogy and one last thing how can you say Carlos Quintana outpointing Paul Williams by about 3 rounds is better than Paul Williams destroying Carlos Quintana in half a round ? that doesn't make sense.
Ladies and gentlemen, the definition of a Williams hater.:appl:
I guess for Williams to have even come close to having as impressive a victory over Quintana as Carlos had over him he would have had to let Quintana recover after the first knockdown and then refrain from ever knocking him down again, lose a couple rounds and win a decision by as little as 2 points on 1 judge's score card. Right. Ton of sense.
If you beat me by decision and I come back and blast you out the water in half a round your best bet is to avoid even being in the same state as me. It means you've been figured out.
Quintana totally outboxed williams in the first fight made him look ordinary. In the rematch either fighter could have thrown a ko punch it just happened to be Williams a rubber match would clear up all doubt
:-\
That has to be one of the dumbest posts I have ever read.
I'm not going to bother to address most of the issues that arise with your post, but if Quintana could've thrown a KO punch, how come he couldn't stop Williams in the first fight? He repeatedly landed flush power shots to little effect.
Paul Williams is just too big for this division and that is the bottom line, he began fighting at Junior Middle Weight and has even faught as a Middle Weight. (Tomato can opponents)
Don't talk about moving up, do it! He claims he will fight anyone from 147 to 168 :o saying it and doing it are two different things. No one wants to phuk with Williams at 147 and he should move up and maybe even call out Mora ;D Paul needs to stay active and then come back down and find Margarito again. I believe Paul will call out Tony once again. It does seem odd that Tony does not mention Paul's name in any of his conversations about upcoming fights. Most feared vs most feared. Come on Tony, you are turning into PBF by ducking Williams ;D
Pavlik is smart, no one wants to phuk with Pavlik at 160 so Pavlik will go as far as move up and just stay busy even at a catch weight. Smart man.
;)
if he called out mora, mora would turn it down anyway just like he backed out of the jermain taylor fight because he thought th fight was too close to taylors hometown.
We will just have to wait and see, Mora has to get past Forrest first. Regardless of the fact that Mora turned down the fight against Jermain, imagine had Mora beat Jermain on points :o Would that have been as exciting as watching Pavlik knock Taylor the phuk out? I think not! Everyone knows you can't beat Taylor on points and Mora made the right decision by NOT fighting Taylor because Mora does not have the dual equalizers that Pavlik posses. You don't know for a fact that Mora would turn down the fight against PW or not, you are just making ASSumptions. ;D I personally feel that Mora would jump at the opportunity to fight Williams at 154.
i sure hope ur right man its a shame we live in a era where fighters turn each other down. in the future there are gonna be alot of whatif fights
CJ Rock said on BF Paul landed a lucky shot that knocked Quintana out :lolhaha: What a pathetic thing to say, he then ducked the question asking why was it lucky LOL. Ask VD and Rotten. You're just wasting your time with CJ Ice.
In a bizarro world kind of way, call me looney but I can see it.Williams essentially had Quintana knocked out with the first long big shot he landed (not lucky, but timed and delivered well)......Carlos never recovered and Williams went in and took him out fast.Quintana had to sustain and think and fight through the entirity of 12 rounds while being in the same (In hindsight) danger zone.He really put on a clinic in the first fight....really controlled, out manuvered, out thought and was a top ring general repeatedly in there. He really exposed Williams Defensive liabilitys though unable to seriously hurt him.
Hey,nothing Impresses like a brutal blow out and it was hellacious, all respect to Williams but something had to be said about a 12 round boxing clinic.Do I think a rematch possibility has people clamoring for a ticket......no way.And Im also not sold that It would make a difference.....Williams knows he can walk right through Quintana when he sits down and is fully focused.....and now,Quintana knows it as well :fight:
