Its surprising to me that when I think about it I think Bunema beating Karmazin surprised me more than anything. He was a big underdog and a nobody when he beat Travis Simms who by the way fought a stinker that night. Santos looked superb in his last outing putting an absolute beatdown on Riveria, beating him better than Simms did.
I didn't check the odds but figured Santos would have been a big favourite to win that fight, kind of like how Lucian Bute was when he took on suprise super middleweight champ Andre Berrio or how Kotelnick was when he fought Gavin Rees :confused:
I just thought it was seen as a chance for Santos to step back into the big time picking up an easy belt against a mediocre belt holder.
