I am serious mate....Think about it...How many actual IBO fight cards can you think of?....How many where the title was the main event prize so to speak?...Other then seeing a champion who somehow just ends up withn the title as part of his collection can your really name any IBO title fights off the top of your head?....Its crazy.....I liken the title to that guy who seems to be at all the party's you attend eating food, drinking up the free booze yet no one knows who the hell he is:confused:....You know his face because he is always around but other then that nothing....Crazy

I like the fact that the IBO Middleweight Champion, Daniel Geale, is ranked as no. 21 by the IBO themselves. At least that's not particularly pretentious...

Im agreeing with you completely, the version of the belt is nothing more than a farce and had boxing any credibility that wasnt sucked out of it through don king and his henchmen it would scrap all versions of your ibo, ibf, wbu championships and go back to the old traditional system whereby a champion was really a champion.

People didnt book up hatton-castillo on ppv because the IBO championship was at stake, people ordered it because they recognised it was to decide who was the number 1 light welterweight in the world.

Should that mean hattons IBO title made his involvement in the fight null and void substituting him for junior witter just because junior had a more respected belt??

of course not..most knowlegable boxing fans are able to decide for themselves what fights are worthy of big viewing figures etc through how good the athletes competing are and not what organisations title they hold!!

Hatton was 43-0 at Light welter and yet only ever held the IBO and IBF versions of the titles despite fighting the best there was to offer every single time.

Wlad Klitschko is universally considered the world heavyweight champ yet sam peter owns the WBC version.

If the various organisations do come to their senses eventually and decide to work in unison to unify every division these discussions will never be had.

But that wont happen in my lifetime and i very much suspect in the coming years the P4P world champion will own nothing more than an IBO or WBA championship!!

WBC Fedalatin title is first WBC fecarbox second then you got Oklahoma state champion. Those are the big 3 to me.....In all seriousness I think IBF is pretty consistent with their rankings, sometimes they will throw a weird mandatory, but they are usually guys that deserve it, but just aren't known as much.

The Ring championship is the only championship worth recognizing!
