Finally a deserving heavyweight contender gets a shot......:rolleyes: I would rather see Povetkin get the shot, I can think of about 10 guys that deserve the shot more than Audley.....stupid WBC. Guess its a play it safe opponent until Peter gets his shot at Wlad/Thompson. WTF happened to Wlad Vs Peter I have no idea....
People must forget that this is an optional defence for Peter:confused: It's not as though the WBC have put Audley as a mandatory challenger... I doubt he's even in their top 10.. Fact is Peter has chosen to fight Audley in the UK for a good payday with little risk... You can hardly object to Audley getting a shot when it was given to him by Peter..
Still doesn't change the fact he doesn't deserve the shot....I still object. I understand the situation but I'm not at all interested in this fight. Maybe if Peter sparks him good, we won't have to hear about Harrison for awhile....
I find it funny that he remarks on his change of style from Am to Professional talking about a fight he lost, - In the Giunn fight I didn't throw a punch for the first two minutes of the round, changed my style blah blah blah, HE LOST THAT FIGHT...RIGHT?
Oh sorry my mistake when turning from Am to Professional the idea is not to throw punches anymore, I get it, Well done Audley, it's about surviving the rounds not actually winning them.
Good luck for the fight Audley maybe if you don't throw a punch for the full 12 rounds you might still be there at the end.
Audley is getting some stick cause he doesnt deserve the shot but he isnt gonna turn down the chance to fight for the world title is he? Its Peter's and his team should be the ones taking the blame fighting a fighter that is'nt even in the top 20 in any rankings apart from the britsh scence then he aint even number 1 in that, but its not Harrisions fault he is getting the shot. I think Frank Warren has been cheeky at even going to Peters team and asking for a shot they should of said no but they just want what should be an easy pay day for there man.
I heard it was between Skelton and Audley. Skelton is more deserving. At least he put up a decent showing when losing to Chagaev away from home as well. Audley has done nothing. Beating an under prepared, out of shape Williams means nothing.
