I guess what goes around comes around.
3 50/50 fights in 2 years?????????
Lacy
Kessler
Hopkins
I said 2 years or so.
I would say Kessler was 50/50 but lets not make this about Calzaghe.

Id say Lacy was 60-40 maybe 70-30 over Calzaghe but Calzaghe was 60-40 over Hopkins.
Kessler was indeed 50-50.

A fighter is only as good as his last fight. Klit said this after the icing of Tony Thompson. He was right.

Maybe as far as casual fans go but us purists know.
Re: Why are people now quite negative towards Cotto???
;DYes we do, don't we?
After the having returned to his dressing room, Cotto had this to say.
“I’m happy to have given to the fans a grand fight. Life goes on, not everything has finished. I am going to take a long rest and then decide
what to do later,” said Cotto.
This was the night of Margarito, and he’s an excellent fighter.
Today he did the better work as I have done (those recent fights).”
Good sportsman!

Does Cotto lack the concentration to be great? and so on.Its bloody hard to concentrate when a guy is constantly walking you down throwing punches at you i think Cotto could change a few things movement is the key why did he keep moving to the left when he should have gone to his right he needed to stick and move more. The fight was AWESOME!! both fighters were amazing we have just witnessed a true 50/50 fight and i feel Cotto is getting some negative response. He is still number 2 Welter in the world for christ sake.
I'll tell you why. It's because the same sh*t happens ALL THE TIME.
Shortly after the fight, there was nothing but praise for both fighters. Great fight... great fighters... great heart... great talent. Margarito's stock sky-rocketed, but Cotto's didn't drop that much. He showed remarkable boxing skills, more than people were willing to give him credit for, etc. I was feeling so "good" (considering the circumstances, since I was rooting for Cotto), that I stupidly started a thread about how people here were giving Cotto credit for a remarkable show, even in a loss.
Now... half a week later, it's all coming out at last. Cotto was exposed... Cotto was never any good... Cotto was overrated... blah, blah, blah, ad nauseaum. Same tired old bullsh*t happens all the time.
Another thing that happens. Just because there are some Cotto fans that make excuses, it doesn't mean ALL of us do. I pride myself on taking the losses the same way I take the wins. No excuses. But please-e-e-e-e... don't dump on Cotto. It's not HIS fault that there are some over-zealous fans that can't admit his defeat. Everything tends to degenerate into a he-said-she-said war and the fighter ends up getting trashed in the forum.
Keep it real, people!!!
