Reading this thread does provide a good case for why I would probably make the wrong choice though.

Damn not being able to here my rap music would suck so much ass. but i would rather keep my sight i must check out fine chickenheads and watch sports n shit. We must all thank GOD that he gave us both.

no, but really, if i had to choose, it would be hearing.. i mean, there is sign language for people who cannot hear, but what is there for blind people? A service dog, a little cane thing you feel around with, and brail writing on doors so you know what you're about to walk into.. doesn't weigh out to me..

I'd lose my hearing rather than my sight, you can still live a semi-normal life if deaf, whereas if your blind you will need to rely on much more help to do pretty much anything.
