Its nothing to do with the commentary its due to Mayorga, missing majority of his punches. And as i've said many times even when he did land them they wern't effective, because he threw them with poor technique.
I don't like using punchstats as an example, but i think the punchstats had it spot on. Mayorga threw more punches but missed most of em, especially his flurries on the inside. Where as Mosley was very accurate especially with his counter shots.
Wow!!! 9 of 12 rounds heh. Crack kills.
It shows how out of touch Bunce is . I duno what his criteria is for scoring but I always thought the art of boxing was to hit and not be hit. The punch stats prove that Shane Mosley landed double what Mayorga did. Thats a overwhelming amount . He also threw less which shows Mayorga was missing a great deal . So for Bunce to have Mayorga in such a big lead shows he is biased or no good at scoring . Either way he shouldnt be in the job he is in .
In amateur boxing at least, you can only count punches that land with force. That the fighter has put effort in to throwing. Not just arm shots. Mayorgas punches are very easy to score because he doesnt really throw them any other way, so you would almost count all of his landed punches. Whereas Mosely does throw a lot of arm punches. Also, those punch stats they do, call every punch other than a jab, a power punch. There are some fighters who can hurt you with a jab.
