Re: Will Taylor really have it that easy against Lacy?
Lacy could win by a 4th round body tackle also ;D

Exactly. Taylor is coming off 2 big losses (and a bad performace against Spinks before that) and is fighting in a new weight class. I think he'll win, but he needs to be on top of his game.
Yeah, its been since Daniel Edouard (Daniel Edouard :o) that Taylor has put on an explosive dominant type performance.
And yes Mendoza's nothing special but he's one of those Columbians that, whatever faults they have, can bang and a few of the times that he hurt Lacy it was with temple shots. I wouldn't be shocked if Taylor was able to hurt Lacy and maybe stop him but I don't expect that to happen.
But on the other hand I think Taylor can take Lacy's power too.
I don't see a cakewalk though, Taylor's just not that guy.

The bad thing for Lacy is that Taylor rediscovered his jab against Pavlik and he did a good job of keep his hands up. He has so much reach advantage and he moves well if he chooses to do it. The only way Lacy wins is if Taylor doesn't move laterally and lets himself get caught on the ropes, or he decides fight off the ropes.
Lacy was being outboxed by Manfredo until Lacy hit him with that right and showed him what it means to be hit by a real SMW. Then he got lazy and fought scared. I don't think Lacy will be able to put Taylor in a shell like that. If Jermaine loses, he should hang it up, because the loss will be due to lack of preparation or lack of desire. I don't think that's going to happen.
Re: Will Taylor really have it that easy against Lacy?
Don't know why but I think Lacy might win this one, possibly by stoppage rd 5-7. Taylor hasn't looked good in a long time(though neither has Lacy) but I think if Lacy can get him on the ropes he'll do damage
Re: Will Taylor really have it that easy against Lacy?
did anyone actually watch lacys last fight?
he looked absolutely awful
i got taylor in under 6 rounds
