If Herbie Hide was going to sign, I think we'd have heard something by now, and an American, BJ Flores has said it won't be him, but states that he was offered the fight, soooo.....with less than three days to the start time of the fight, we're probably looking at some domestic competition in all honesty, unless the Hide thing comes through fairly late. Usual suspects domestically, small heavies like Mark Krence, Micky Steeds, or maybe someone from Europe.
So essentially, no idea is the answer, so I'll take a wild swing at it, and suggest that it'll be the first Eastern-European journeyman who hasn't lost yet that Frankie can find and is fairly close to the weight limit. Or Alexandru Manae Alexandru Manea

Enzo fights Alvarez
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12183_4587573,00.html
Francisco Alvarez has been named as Enzo Maccarinelli's opponent on Saturday night.
The Puerto Rican knockout specialist, who has stopped nine of his 11 victims, has been drafted into the Judgement Night bill, live on Sky Box Office.
Sports Network have been searching for a replacement ever since Johnathon Banks pulled out after injuring an ankle in training and the 31-year-old has answered the call.
Alvarez will now get the chance of a lifetime to challenge former holder Maccarinelli for the WBO cruiserweight belt on the same bill as Amir Khan's comeback fight.
It will be by far the biggest night of his fledgling professional career - spent largely at light-heavyweight - and the first time he has boxed in Europe in 12 paid contests (11(9KO)-1-0).
But he comes to the Excel Arena with a fine knockout record having finished nine inside the distance, seven inside the first two rounds. He is also the reigning WBO Latino light-heavyweight champion.
His only loss was against rated Uzbekistani Alexander Alexeev, who was ounce touted as a possible foe for Davd Haye - the man who took the WBO belt off Maccarinelli, only to vacate it and leave it open for the Welshman to reclaim
Another sham aka Warren:o

See me, and Rhun were just talking aboutt his. You say another Sham warren, wtf - if this was his first choice, fair enough but fuck man warren can be a cunt and often deserves the shit he gets. But Banks bitched out, aint many guys will fight a guy like banks after being beat in 2 rounds... but banks bitched, herbie bitched again for a second time to fight mac, the tried BJ but he wanted more time (you can't blame him) clinton woods wasn't up for it. This was the only guy they could get at last minute...
Was this or call off the show, you call it off now you piss off a load of people who paid for tickets, hotels, traveling etc etc, whom have taken time off work even.
Re: Banks out of Maccarinelli clash
Does this mean it's now a non title fight?

I'm pretty sure he has to face Alexeev and maybe banks as well.
Hide is going for the wbc belt, he has an eliminator coming up to then fight frag, frag h as to make 2 def's because he won a vacant belt

Hello. Thanks for the welcome. :)
So they're just gifting Enzo the title against a light heavy? Is that his reward for getting sparked in 2 rounds last time out?

Must be mate im surprised frank Warren didn't phone me up to fight him this is a joke short notice or not the fight and fighter are a joke.
Re: Banks out of Maccarinelli clash
Frank Warren will bring us nothing but the best promotions, he is a very nice person , and please stop slagging him off all of you !!!!
P.S he also has never heard of cancelling a fight if a guy pulls out lol ;D
For you Frank :fyou:
Re: Banks out of Maccarinelli clash
This "knockout specialist" went eight rounds last time with a guy JOHN DUDDY KO'd in one!!!
This must rank alongside the worst "world" title fights in history.
Re: Banks out of Maccarinelli clash
Id like Warren to explain how a guy ranked 15 , can fight for a VACANT title ????
WTF !!!!
ANOTHER FRANK WARREN SPECIAL. BULLSHIT
Re: Banks out of Maccarinelli clash
ITV it is then.
Bet Enzo is gutted again.

15 in the lightheavy rankings. Not Cruiser.
Maybe it's a mistake, really it's an 8 rounder for Enzo to get his eye back in.
