Imagine how I get every time a thread is made just to throw crap at ODLH and praise Cotto or Pac for anything you can imagine. Can Jennings pull out a shocker? I wouldn't be surprised. There's my answer.
I have a suggestion. Kill yourself - those threads will no longer bother you.
In all seriousness, those threads wishing Pac a happy B-day etc. annoy everyone (though you never say anything about Pac), but all you do is say the same thing over and over and over again. In addition to annoying the shit out of my and almost everyone else, it's complete bullshit.
These threads keep coming and I don't even start them. Never say anything about Pac? How long have you been here? I don't see you complaining about all the treads that throw crap at ODLH or the ones that praise Cotto. I don't go in there doing a tear drama like you, instead, I tell them why I disagree. So the suggestion you give me apply it to yourself as well.
So anyways, do you think Jennings can pull off a shock?

No. Cotto is a world class fighter with a great resume. Jennings will be lucky to see the fourth round.
And of course threads keep coming up about the most popular boxers in the world - this is a boxing forum. Furthermore, it is also not surprising that the most popular boxers evoke strong opinions. However, repeating the same thing over and over again, verbatim, is ridiculous.

CFH i think you will be quite suprised with Michael Jennings, he ain't a world class fighter but he has good boxing skills/good movement. And will last much longer than you think.

No offense but how the hell can you say what will happen in the fight, if you have never even seen Michael Jennings fight ?

Hopefully. I'll probably be cheering for him because he's such an underdog, but Cotto is going to be out to make a statement.

Hhhhhmph! Fair enough. I disagree with him having a "great" resume but I agere with Jennings getting knocked out or losing. When Jennings faced Pryce he got hit easily with straight rights and got knocked down. Pryce obviously doesn't hit as hard as Cotto. Imagine if it is Cotto who connected those straight rights? Trouble for Jennings. I can say the same about Jenning's loss aganist Mutley.
I see no threat with Jennings but I wouldn't be shocked if Jennings hurts Cotto as past guys have already.

See, that's the thing. Threads keep coming about how ODLH is stupid, gay, has no talent, doesn't deserve to be a hall of famer, etc. And nobody says a thing or cries about it, why? Because people hate him. But then you have Cotto as the most likeable guy in this forum. And I question his resume (I have gone fighter through fighter in his resume before, not just "oh, he sucks, he's gay" as people do with ODLH) as many times as these threads keep popping and I am suddenly seen as the bad guy?

Where are these threads about ODH being stupid, gay, and talentless? A few posters say those things, but threads based on those subjects by no means dominate the boards, that is pure hyperbole. A thread about ODH being stupid or gay would be locked and moved immediately. Show me one thread from the last 3 months about ODH being gay or stupid. Not posts, but threads. If you can do it, I'll be surprised and impressed. I've never seen anyone say ODH is talentless either, he's shot now, but he had a ton of talent in his day. I also recall very few instances in which people claim ODH is not a HoFer either, again - more baseless hyperbole. And if you're this bothered about him being called gay, maybe you shouldn't be quite so thin-skinned, he's arguably the most successful boxer ever, I'm sure he'll be ok.
So because you get upset when people deride your favorite fighter, you feel the need to say the same things about Cotto over and over again? That doesn't make any sense at all. Why not try and counter the arguments about ODH if you're such a bastion of boxing knowledge?
You're not seen as a "bad guy" either, you're just seen as reduntant and annoying. If you have a problem with that, I suggest you do something to change it.

I am not going to say that ODLH is g@y but I heard he loves sucking d1cks. As far as him being talented, have you heard him sing? ;D
Re: Can Jennings pull off a Shock and beat Cotto?
I did say threads but I ment posts, my bad:rolleyes:. But there are also threads that are not even confirmed yet but are a good source to keep throwing crap at ODLH like the recent one that ODLH was looking for a rematch with Pac, remember that one? I could understand people saying that ODLH got a freebie against X and state their opinion why instead of something like what Danny just posted. Of course, nobody will say a thing. Now imagine if I said something like that about this forum's beloved Cotto. Wouldn't that be simply unnaceptable? I am yet to post something about Cotto like that. I have gone through some of Cotto's victories on his resume and mentioned why I don't think they are all that instead of just saying he sucks or something. Is that so bad? It's not like a start those threads.

Some people have a good debate against ODLH and others just post stuff like what DannyG just did. Look at any ODLH thread and you'll see what I am talking about.
Do you want to go fighter through fighter from Cotto's resume? Be my guest. We can start a thread or keep it on PM if people find it unnaceptable to mention something negative about Cotto.

I already did many times. Not only for ODLH but also AGAINST ODLH. I don't blind myself from his mistakes, freebie desicions, etc.
So anyways, do you agree or disagree with what I said about Jenning's fights that I mentioned? (just to stay on topic)
Re: Can Jennings pull off a Shock and beat Cotto?
This fight is nothing more then the chance for the announcers to say "Miguel Cotto IS BACK!"
Miguel Cotto could beat every welterweight out there except Margarito. Imo he will never be mentally right until he beats Margarito, which he won't, he doesn't have the mentality that says "I will box 12 rounds and get a decision" he is the type of fighter who is patient for half a fight and then wants to knock someone out. And thats why he will never beat Margarito
Re: Can Jennings pull off a Shock and beat Cotto?
Jennings is no mug, he can box very well, he knows what he is up against and will give it his best shot, would be mad to tip him for a win but expect him to be trying, he knows that if he can impress he will be putting him self in the shop window for future fights, I expect Micheal to go out on his shield.
Re: Can Jennings pull off a Shock and beat Cotto?
Re: Can Jennings pull off a Shock and beat Cotto?
To misquote Don King "Jennings has Slim and No Chance and Slim just left town"
This fight is Pavlik vs Lockett 2 interms of ability and boxing class.
Good Luck to Jennings though.

And it actually gives more credibility to his rematch vs Margarito and help sell the fight a bit more.

That could be, that could be. But any boxer that goes to a rematch with the exact same strategy wouldn't really make sense. I expect Cotto to come to the rematch with a different fight plan and hope that works. I imagine Cotto will box more since he knows his punches have no effect on Margarito (or at least they didn't when they faced each other) and avoiding Margarito's power.

I hope so too so the fight can look more competitive but I don't see any threat in his power.

Chino, between you and I we have been called "Cotto-Haters" all day. But I dont know man you seem to really inspire some angry feelings. I dont think you bash him in any underminded ways and actually you back your arguments alot better than I do in my opinion. I dont know why you get the backlash and I dont, maybe cuz im better looking and cooler than you......;D
