Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
It's never ending and always the same.
And yea, he can do what he likes. I don't mind most of it, but it gets tiresome. Just saying my thoughts.
And trying to give a perspective from someone who actually roots for Pac on the subject, likes pac and isn't philipino, but not so much the ceaseless antagonism.

i'm going to be honest with you. I am fairly unbiased when it comes to fighters, and I root for pac. But if your goal is to turn fans to root against pac, it may be helping. I'm starting to hope Hatton beats his face in, if just to see you maybe stop.
BTW, this is not to antagonize anyone who isn't a pacfan...
This is more of to agonize Hatton fans... ;D (joke)

can just imagine the scene 10,000+ roaring "theres only one ricky hatton" "engerland, engerland, engerland" etc and little old you stood there with your pacman t-shirt chanting "manny, manny, manny" over and over again.
They`ll chew you up and spit you out before the 1st undercard fight is done ;D;D;D

The worse scenario would be a DRAW....No one coalition less ;D.
Think Hatton takes it

Theres 3months to go and already it seems like us brits and fillipinos are driving you yanks mad with endless predictions. If it were to end a draw after all this i think id have to give up coming on here for a while just for parity;D
Remember the mexicans and puerto ricans driving me mad last summer over cotto/margarito to the point of utter annoyance. I can now share their pain and apologise to all who we are driving mad
Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
I will support Hatton on this but i still think Pac will win. But i just want Hatton to win so Pac fans can STFU.
Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
I just wanna see a great fight. The anticipation is killing me. I like Ricky Hatton as I'm a big fan of body shots but I think Pac would win and he has my bet. Like the Filipino fans I would be yelling "money! money! money!" ;D
Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
I guess the Pacquiao fans are gonna ignore my question on how many of them are actually going to the fight??
Its not got some sinister undertone where I will hunt you down & kill you pre-fight, it might just gave a basic indication of the support that will be going ;D
Also Thomson Local announced that they have had nearly 10,000 bookings going out to Las Vegas from the UK during the week preceding the fight. They stated their average per week was usually at a top level of about 800, so that might give the indication that a lot of Hatton fans will be there. That's just one holiday provider & not who I booked mine through
I will be interested to see how Manny copes at the weigh-in against the hostility he will no doubt get (not from me because I ain't getting into all that booing him shit), Mayweather was able to feed of it because that's what he does, but Pacquiao is not used to not being the popular fighter (even against ODLH whose fans aren't anywhere near as agressive as Hatton's).

I don't think there are many Pac fans in this forum that will support him by going to Vegas but tell you what I am shocked by the population of Filipinos here in San Jose. There were a lot of them back in Hawaii but damn they are just everywhere. I heard there is a million of them in Califronia alone. So regarding the local support, I think Pac has a solid one.
Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
It might be a split, but I'll root for Hatton this time. He definitely has the edge against Manny. He's someone who just don't sit there and be a punching bag. If he keeps this trick, no doubt he'll knock out Manny in the 5th round. I saw his videos and I think he is better than Manny Pacquiao. Hatton go for it!

sh*t... dude! you obviously never did any drinking with Filipinos..... half these guys don't even get a buzz with a blood alcohol level of 1.4...;D
I would expect more fans to be there for Pacquiao (US & Philippines) but the fewer Hatton fans will most likely be louder.... It's gonna be interesting to see if Hatton fans can egg on the Pac fans...
I'm for Pacquiao all the way but I really want to see a good fight...

I'm not much of a drinker either, but I have had a few sessions with the boys in the Philippines with my 8 years there...
I wouldn't be shocked if a draw was the outcome to see Pacquiao/Hatton drinking match..... hell we might even see a promo.....;D
Re: Who do you think the fans will support?
Forum-wise, I think there are an equal amount of Hatton-groupies and Pacfans.
Come fight night, I've always said this, the arena will be absolutely bonkers. Pac and Hatton have the most vocal followings in the boxing world. Imagine listening to "There's only one Ricky Hatton" with a "Manny, Manny, Manny" chant combating it. That's what I expect to hear.

What are they all gonna chip in and buy a ferry? I doubt it would be affordable to most in his homeland.
There are a lot of Filipinos in the US. Especially in Cali, New York, and New Jersey. In the US, Filipinos usually work in the health field, the majority of them nurses so a lot of them are financially stable. The Philippines itself is still considered a poor country, but Filipino's in the US are on a different boat which is who comprises most of Pacquiao's audience during his fights.
BTW! I've wanted to go see him fight live the past couple of fights (Marquez, Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton) but my pops doesn't have much time left so I'd rather watch him fight on TV with my dad rather than see him live without him.
