Marquez is pound for pound number 1 for people that know Boxing. Which pretty much excludes Pac fans.

Let the two fight again. Before that happens, Pac is definitely PFP#1 with Marquez closing the gap with his win against Diaz.

I agree, beating Hatton certainly trumps beating Diaz.

JMM's last two fights at lightweight have been a real eye opener, at first i thought he was a decent fighter who just happened to be a bogey man for Pac stylistically, but he is so much more. KO'ing two natural lightweights after campagining divisions lower throughout his career, he only went to superfeather to chase Pac back into the ring.

Beating Hatton doesn't necessarily mean Pac goes above Marquez.

The reason I rate Marquez above Pac is because I think he beat him twice (especially 2nd time - like most people that rate Marquez better). Since the second victory Marquez has continued to rack up impressive wins (arguably better than Pacs).

So Pac beating Ricky enhances his standing but doesn't devalue Marquez. Unless Marquez loses anytime soon, loses to Pac or starts struggling against nobodies he will still have the victory over Pac, so has to remain ranked P4P no.1 ;)

There's a case for JMM but there's also some anti-Pac backlash cause of his fans. That is totally reasonable for those that can read.

I still have Pac number 1 though, I thought he edged JMM twice and I'm not going to get into the nobility of JMM staying at 135 and doing it the right way, it helps his case but lets not completely lose it, if he could have gotten a fight with Oscar after his first fight at 135 he would have taken it instantly. You guys are Just sucking JMM Dick too much!!! JMM's just beat a Young Fat & inexperienced Juan Diaz who was schooled already by Not so Great Campbell. It's no Bragging rights!! LOok at the majority of Predictions before the fight?? JMM was the Clear Favorite. That's how I Predicted anyway. I Picked JMM by 10 rd TKO & giving only about 3 rds Max to Diaz.

Diaz is not a Step up for JMM. I considered it a notch higher than Pac's win over the other Diaz(David). BUt Pac showed a lot more with the DLH DOMINATION! It's a step up fight for Pac the reason he's 2-1 underdog into the fight. JMM didn't Dominate the light punching Juan. You have to remember that JMM lose some rds. Compared to Pac who never lose a RD against David Diaz & DLH.
