amazing that Saddoboxer or Bruce leroy haven't come on here saying Pacquiao has the fastest hands of all time
I think the difference between Mayweather's speed and a lot of these guys is he sticks his punches, especially his jab he doesn't just flick it out there, Roy Jones Jr had a tendency to do that, Mayweather actually punched through the target, and when he throw combinations it wasn't shoe shining, he throws them more like Tyson or Cotto, he digs into each punch how you are suppose to do it.
Ali's hand speed was unreal...but considering he was a heavyweight...it makes it that much more amazing.
Surprised no has mentioned a Prime Tyson. His combonations were insanely fast!
i said tyson already, hearns had quick hands 2

All in their prime so fast it was scary
Sugar Ray Leonard
Roy clearly faster than Joe. As for p4p speed, gotta be Ali. I saw a documentary where they measured his soeed and found he was quicker than Ray Robinson. Thats saying something bearing in mind the different weights. Also dont forget Hamed. Watch his first knockdown of Belcastro. Nothing short of astonishing. He is not even that close to him when he throws the punch. Plus his final KO of Kelley. Kelley's whole body shook from that one punch. I think he is up there, and possible ahead of, Jones Jr in terms of pure athleticism (although failed to stick with it obviosuly)
How did they find out Ali was faster than Robinson who's prime is nigh impossible to find on film? Ali was amazingly fast, but his speed never dominated like Roy's did, Robinson also throw amazingly fast combinations and got incredible leverage on each punch which Ali didn't do. Hamed was pretty fast, but not on the elite, elite level.
hamed was fast but i agree not on the elite level, he threw punches from awkward angles more than rapid combos.
Jones had the fastest out of the 2 mentioned but P4P ever?....
Meldrick Taylor, Hector Camacho, Ray Leonard, Muhammad Ali are always front runners but in truth there are dozens that make it almost impossible to choose....
Sugar Ray Leonard had the fastest hands period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
