Vaguley complicated but here goes,its the overseeing governing body in the states.
This is where it gets complicated.
As long as you get a state ID you can get a Fed ID from the ABC
But none of the states have a uniform set of rules
So if I have a boxer,in Arkansas,West Virginia,Pennsylvania,and New Jersey.
All four of those states have totally different state liscence requirements.
But the ABC wont issue a federal ID without a liscence issued in the state of residence.
And without a federal ID,you dont fight anywhere
Its a really big ass pain
If there was some set of basic unified rules,it would make life a hell of alot easier for everybody

That does sound messy. You would think there would be a means of making it easier for people in the same country to fight each other. :-\

heres the other one in the state of texas if u 35yrs old u have to get a ekg and lets say this if u frist one dosent look right and u have another done and u dont meet the deadline regardless if it was cleared by a dr the commision will not let u fight so the promotor losses money he put out to bring u down there plus he pays the meds and the ten thousand dollar bond

Interesting, I don't know too much about how the commisions operate. Of course, fighters shouldn't be allowed to fight with irregularities, but that 10,000 dollare is a lot of money to cough up! Fighters should comply with health checks and in time though, boxing needs to be safe.

It does seem to be a complicated process, with states all acting differently. You would think there would be a means of introducing some kind of universal commonality to procedure.

thats the problem commisions think they are above the law in boxing they call the shot hell texas think they are the big dog in the sport

We would love a set of universal base rules,I dont mean like,I mean love.

It can get even messier,we lost a fight strictly on the fact that our one fighters had two seperate birth certificates. The fighters mom got pissed off at the fighters dad,and filed for a second birth certificate with the moms last name on it. The fighter only had a copy of the birth certificate with the dad's name on it. That didnt line up with the social security number or the drivers liscence,so boxing liscence denied.
So,we lost the fight.Mind you we put together a quick plan B),that the promoter totally fucked up.
