Re: personal greatest 3 boxing moments..
For me :-
3) Bruno hanging on in the last round against McCall and finally winning the world title. Oh come on he was crap but we all loved him ! ;D
2) Benn v McClellan (as said - sad though the outcome was)
a tie for first though
1) Lewis v Tua - my first fight I attended abroad. Being in Vegas for first time I was awestruck at seeing people like Holyfield, Moseley etc.. mulling around
and also the atmosphere I experienced at the Hatton v Mayweather weigh in. Incredible !!
Re: personal greatest 3 boxing moments..
1. When that fighters mum got in the ring to attack his opponent with a shoe.
2. When "fanman" gate-crashed Bowe-Holyfield.
3. The Lewis-Tyson press conference punch-up.
Fact.
Re: personal greatest 3 boxing moments..
The Rumble in the Jungle. We were all so sure Ali would get crushed.
Honorable mentions...
Watching Lewis outclass Holyfield in the first fight, though the result put a bit of a damper on things
Hopkins - Trinidad was a biggie. I didn't like Trinidad for the was he positioned himself re: 9/11, as if Hopkins didn't care. But his reputation as a puncher preceded him. Hopkins was awesome.
Duran - Moore was great. I was thrilled at the time watching it live on tv, but not as impressed now, cause I can see Moore was clearly damaged goods by the eye injury.
Bramble - Mancini I. I was never a big fan of Boom Boom.
Re: personal greatest 3 boxing moments..
Calzaghe vs Lacy
Hamed vs Kelly
Watching Carl Froch (live in Nottingham) kiss his guns after he floored Robin Reid for the second time. On tv you see Reid getting arsey at Froch while Dave Parris is counting but you don't see why. Us watching live know the reason!
