Natural... 0% body fat. I guess I workout 5 days a week for nothing then. I must naturally have 5% body fat. I think I'll take next week off and watch TV and eat poo.
Clottey is a BEAST. He and Tim Bradley are just superb specimines.. too bad boxing isn't a body building contest. They both could use a little more show stopping power. Starvin Marvin wasn't chiseled like a Michelangelo sculpture!
Cotto will make weight even if it kills him. I agree he is an honorable fighter and person. Don't know how anyone could not like him, really. This fight will be awesome 4 sure!
I hope you detected the sarcasm in the 0% thing. For me I think Cotto is about at the point, where like Nate Campbell against Ali Funeka his body just won't let him make weight at least down to 145. It's just a theory, and I'm probably wrong, but I'm sticking with it.
welter yes any silly catchweight who cares. It's funny someone cries for integrity in a sport full of shady cheats. Do these same fans stay up at night upset cause the gang truce in l.a. Didn't hold up too ? Give me a freakin break guys are bending the rules with the ridiculous catchweights and lord knows the stuff we don't see behind doors. I noticed one thing that stayed true marquez and his people grabbed that 600k signed the new contract and didn't say shit. Honor and legacy I see once again got it's ass kicked by cash. Much as floyd haters cry and bitch even marquez understands that Spanish English or whatever. So let's not be so quick to bash floyd for loving money marquz just got his ass kicked in a fight he knew he couldn't win for the same reason you all hate the guy so much for. Money. And most of us have and would do the same damn thing. He'll nacho at no time could even act like he thought juan had a chance. He was chasin the green right along with the rest of em. Like clottey fighting at welter coming in the ring at 200 lookin like a black bolo is any better.
[quote=Mar;790941]What the hell are you on about?
Marquez took a big-purse fight... as you say who can blame him!
PBF took a fight, twisted it and disrespected everything that is fundamental to boxing just so that he could have a victorious comeback!
If you are unable to see this then you are dillusional!
I for one am not 'bashing' PBF for loving money (hell if I had the IRS on my case for $6 million i'd do the same thing!) What I am 'bashing' him for is taking mugs like me and you for £20 (about $40 the way the $ is going!;D)to watch a complete mismatch on PPV!
The headline on box-office should have read Mayweather Jr v The IRS:rolleyes:
Just fight Cotto you bully
By that it would have been a fair fight if Mayweather weighed in at 144 but it was a complete mismatch him weighing 146?
The fight was a mismatch to begin with. Marquez was always going to be way to small.
It was disrespectful for Mayweather to not make the effort to come in at the right weight, which he could have done with more work, but he made a choice that it wasn't that important and he'd be better off keeping comfortable..
It was cutting a corner.. cutting a corner at the expense of his opponent, and not great for boxing if this sort of thing happened all the time. Although that's kind of what we get with these catchweight fights.. A weight that is trying to bring 2 fighters together who perhaps don't belong in the ring with each other otherwise... And that's what we saw. Money does make the world go round and if the weight limit was set at 144 then the fight wouldn't have went on if Floyd weighed to much.. it wasn't, it was set at a price value, Marquez took the cash (and the disadvantage)... If those 2 pounds were going to make it a total mismatch where otherwise it would be competitive, then Marquez shouldn't have taken it...
But he did and we can now move on... And perhaps other fighters can learn something from this if they want someone to come down to a catchweight, then make it solid if it's going to be such an advantage for someone to weigh a few pounds over that..
I think Cotto will respect the weight set... Mayweather didn't but paid for it and won what he was always going to win..
I think Cotto has the honor and the balls to fight at 145. I also think the penalty for not making the weight is more for Cotto than Floyd. So if anything, Cotto probably can't afford it as much.
Good point, but the fact remains that PBF dragged somebody up a heck of a lot! If weight was such a side issue wouldn't we just have a 'middleweight' band?
As I said in my previous post, lets see how masterful PBF is againts a true middleweight!! The guy has fought blown-up guys for the past 4 years imo. If he is as great as he likes to tell everybody that he is he needs to fight the guys you me and everybody knows he should fight!
He will get HURT and he knows it! Cotto will hand him his arse! I even think Clottey would worry Mayweather tbh
