Nobel Prize goes to Obama...

The long and short of it is - 5 guys think he deserves an award...

Don't really care what they think, there's what? 8 billion people in the world and every single one has their own opinions on stuff so I'm not going to get upset over 5 people.

He's as much as said he's done nothing to deserve one yet and he's embarrassed by it:

Yeah, they've basically gave it to him for being elected... the reason a black man is in office is because of what 1000s of people have done during history to create the racial equality in America for that to happen... Obama is a result of that rather than a cause so yeah, he doesn't deserve a nobel just for being elected.

But again, It's not worth getting upset over the opinions of 5 nords.

Another thing, I've heard lots of people saying he doesn't deserve a nobel prize, but little to few people actually saying who deserved one this year. I've no doubt that there are people who did more than Obama, but it would be constructive to talk about them, wouldn't it?

So Obama gets it for his rousing pre election and election victory speeches and promises to promote peace in the future.

Meanwhile Ghandi was never deemed worthy, neither was Pope John Paul II, or great social activists such as Dorothy Day.

The only blessing I guess is that at least the People's Princess Diana didn't get one, although the Landmine cause that she worked for of course did.

Well we know who did NOT deserve it and they gave it to him.

The Nobel Peace Prize is supposed to be a prestigious award and giving it to a guy who has been in office for a couple of months and done fuck all in that time span....they might as well have flushed that thing down the crapper.

How prestigious is this award if Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin were nominated for it? The Nobel Peace prize has always been seen as nothing more than a propaganda piece of award.

Oh for fuck's sake they gave an award to Kissinger, who was involved in some truly horrific goings on in Latin America & Asia throughout the early 70s. The message - The Nobel Prize is not to be taken seriously

I don't think the award is to impress anyone living today.

It's for our great, great, great grandchildren. They will know as much about Obama as most of us today know about Washington or Lincoln or any other president.

Actually I disagree, Obama the 'man of peace', is the most militant pro abortionist ever to hold office. He has even denied legal rights to children born alive as a result of botched abortions so a child survives an abortion attempt (which happens often) that child will get murdered outside of the womb, seperate from its mother,in other words infanticide.

He also wants to use abortion as a birth control measure to get families above of the poverty line.

He also wants us to accept a 'death culture' where the terminally ill are allowed the right to die with dignity rather than be kept alive in pain and suffering, which sounds reasonable but is only the first step of the process to on the way to euthansasing the elderly, sick and infirm to save billions of US dollars, if that sounds far fetched, then just read the published works of his own elected science team.

Millions more will now die as a result of Obama's presidency but the public likely will not care as those to die won't be the headliners, civilians in war etc, but the true innocents, unborn babies, and the elderly and infirm.
