The are also too too big.
I aint sticking up for Haye, but 4 inches is a lot different to 11 inches
...at least that's what VD's missus said when she came round mine after she left his last night ;D
BOOM -shock-a-locka.
The height difference yeah it's a little more reasonable, but their reaches are almost the same.
Heights
Valuev: 7'0"
Vitali: 6'7.5"
Wlad: 6'7"
Haye: 6'3"
Valuev is 7 ft 2

he's also to inactive basically nullifying any significant advantage that his size would give him, if the giant is only throwing weak ass jabs, just circle him and break his body down, he never used his damn right hand so don't know why the hell Haye was so shy, dunno what he plans to do when the 6'8 Vitali chooses to jump on him and bang away with a stiff jab, left hooks, straight right hands, and uppercuts, IMO this is the only "big" win that Haye will have at HW
thats why I agree hes going to face problems, but Klit isnt as big as Valuev is he? But I dont think any heavyweight in this world could come out with a sufficent game plan where they could simply outclass Valuev. I believe every fight with him is going to be dull and its whoever the judges will fancy to get the nod IMO
Re: New Heavyweight Champion
Well, it wasn't a fight that fans will rewatch time-and-time again like the great classic fights of history, but Haye was the one who was landing the punches.
Haye's clean hard shots(he should've thrown more of them though), but Valuev didn't land much at all.
The right guy got the decision in Germany against a Sauerland fighter which is a miracle in itself.
Hand-injury in rd 2 or 3 led to Haye fighting a very disciplined methodical fight instead of his usual more reckless aggressive KO style.
Very amazed that Haye could go 12 rds at all.
He's only fought about 7 rds total in the past 2 years.
Too bad he has to fight John Ruiz in his first title defense though.
John The Quiet Man Ruiz has guts and perseverance...but he still ought to be outlawed though...
Hah, old Ruiz actually looked the best I've ever seen him tonight both in physical appearance and in his more aggressive fighting style: No clinching and hugging !!!
Hopefully Haye can do in Ruiz in similar fashion that Tua did and be done with it.
Haye winning a strap in a very positive step for boxing.
:box3:

He always is on the tale of the tape, even though BOXREC has him as 7 FT

Valuev isn't as powerful or as skilled as either Klitschko now is he? and that's the reason why David Haye won't beat either fighter, and i'm assuming that seeing how you thought Haye won that you finally saw Froch/Dirrell and saw that this decision is how the other fight should have gone right?!?

there was a story where his promoter said they had to list him as 7 foot even cuz it was too hard to get him fights when they listed him as 7 foot 2
so idk but his promoter 1ce claimed he was 7 foot 2

How could you have Valuev up? Explain.

No Valuev isn't as good or powerful as either Klit, but i'll tell you one thing he has a better chin than Wlad and Haye is faster than Wlad so if they fight I can see how Haye can beat the younger Klit. By knocking him the fuck out, just like Purrity, Brewster and Sanders did!!

Of course Wlad could always Carl Daniels his ass as well.

Do you mean Thompson? I don't see Haye ever going out and blowing every last bit of energy in 2 rounds again. He was too early in his career to be in with Thompson IMO and he showed tonight how much he learned from that fight.
I don't think Haye will ever fight Vitali, the older Klit is getting on and probably has 2 years left at the very top, but I think he will fight Wlad and I think he could well beat him!
Re: New Heavyweight Champion
Boring perfomance by Haye. But congrats to him anyways. He executed some good combos, whereas Valuev threw plodding jabs that often fell short of Haye.

umm you know that since the Brewster fight he's been undefeated right? you know he's beaten Peter, Byrd, Brewster (in the rematch), Rahman, Imbragimov, and Chagaev just to name a few, and all but two by TKO
IMO if Haye fights Wlad he'd do just that, try to blow Wlad out early and fail and then get KO'd, if he tries to outlast Wlad the accumulation of shots will catch up to him and he'll get stopped, brutally

He'd box smart against Wlad and i'd put money on Haye landing big first, question is how would Wlad take a big punch off Haye? And whats who he's fought since last time he got KTFO got to do with anything? The only one with any speed was Byrd and he has no power and certainly not the speed of Haye, Peter floored him what was it 3 times? And had he any speed could well ahve caused him serious trouble IMO. Brewster is the only one he has dared rematch, the other 2 he had to get his big brother to beat up for him like a little fucking schoolboy.

Peter "floored" him from throwing shots to the back of Wlad's head all night, and how conveniently you forget that Wlad almost had him out of there in the last round
Haye and boxing smart don't go together, he didn't dare engage a slow, weak, one dimensional fighter like Valuev, what's he gonna do different against Wlad who has a hammer like jab and then the right, and the hook to accompany it
HAYE BARELY BEAT VALUEV FOR FUCK SAKE, HOW ANYONE COULD CONSIDER THIS A HUGE VICTORY IS BEYOND ME
