He seems to be quite different since leaving ITV and sometimes appears to be singing off some one else's hymn sheet. I wonder at times if he has been set up as the protagonist just to wind us up.
Met him a couple of times over the years and he is indeed a nice guy with time for the fans.
Also I believe there should be no racial comments here you SSP;D

He seemed to be on Haye's case for doing the opposite of what he predicted. Scoring rounds to Valuev for plodding forward hitting nothing.
I was shouting the same thing at the TV last night. Thank god Ian Darke was using his common sense and basically saying "well, I have Haye ahead". Just heard the radio 5 live commentary and the end was something like this. "Oh and Haye rocks the giant with 45 seconds remaining in the fight, he is going for the grandstand finish. And the fight is over and surely Haye has done enough, Valuev just shakes his head, he knows he's lost".
That is more like the way I saw things, Watt couldn't handle the fact Haye didn't go out there in a blaze of glory trying to blast out someone who had never "officially" been down. Also Johnny Nelson showed he knew Haye's plan better than most, he said before the fight "I think Haye will go out and box a smart fight and win a decision" and I think Dave Clarke said "but what about his KO prediction" to which Nelson replied "I said the same about Carl Thompson, but I never really had it in my mind to KO him". Nelson to me is the only ex-boxer on Sky who talks sense, Watt is always a dick who makes shit up if his predictions don't come true, McCrory makes out he only lost to Lennox because he was only a Cruiserweight? Well in those days Cruiser was 190lbs and he never hardly made it and even when he did get down there he got beaten off rubbish fighters so the beating off Lennox was inevitable. He seems jealous of Haye's success at both Cruiser and HW. And finally Piper was a bit like Watt, he said Haye didn't have the stamina to hit and run for 12 rounds, then after the fight he said "i'm still not convinced of the stamina"?? WTF??
Sky need a change of personell IMO. Keep Nelson and and Ian Darke but the other 3 especially Watt and Piper,
are that far up their own arses they won't admit "I was wrong".
Watt did in fact say after the fight he didn't think he was ever so glad to say he was wrong and that he was delighted for Haye. A lot of people presume that a person doesn't like another because of a fight prediction, howver Watt says he thinks Haye is a nice guy etc, he just had a difference of opinion about the outcome of this fight.
I think the stamina comment is probably based more on how Haye will cope in a 12 round situation where he has to be moving and throwing a lot of punches. He certainly moved cleverly in this fight and threw enough to win but it was hardly a barn burner of a fight, so in some ways stamina may still be an issue.

jamiebhoy, your wrong.
Watt reiterated his point on thinking that Haye LOST.
