I really cant see how exactly this could be dead already??
Abraham-Dirrell is in the States. Dirrell has already said he'll never again fight outside America.
Taylor needs to retire. And probably will. He's lost 4 of his last 5 fights and been badly KO'd in three. The Ward fight is pointless.
And lets not start making Jesus into something he's not. Kessler was stopped by headbuts tearing his face apart. The fight wasn't stopped through damage Jesus did with his fists. ;)
ward owned him for like 8 of the 10 rounds
The only rounds kessler won were the ones were not much went down. Almost every time they engaged ward get the better of it. Agreed the guy was clearly nutting kess but he still did a number on him
Dirrell-AA will be in germany mark my words. He is there main attraction now, andre barely has a fan stateside and could no way sell tickets in the US like AA could in germany
Agreed taylor is shot and showtime should be looking into a suitable replacement. But he aint been a punching bag for any of his losses and if he fights ward im more than confident he`ll hold his own for at least 9-10rounds
Re: The Super Six is nearly dead. Fact.
I don't care how well Jesus won, the fight was stopped due to injuries sustained through headbutts. Not punches. So saying he TKO'd Kessler something Calzaghe couldn't do is ridiculous.
Mark your words it's in Germany? OK...
Gary Shaw (Dirrell's promoter) - We're not going to Germany. The Dirrell fight is here in the United States. There's a lot of rumors that it's in Germany, but it's not. We'll fight Arthur Abraham, I know he'll do well.

just like AA was gonna fight kelly in the US
was gonna fight on the pavlik-rubio undercard in the US
Believe me andres men are using that simply to up there paypacket for the fight. Having this in germany is a no brainer because thats where the millions get made for AA fights

This is the Super Six. They have agreements and dodgy handshakes in place. Didn't you watch the Super Six 24/7 type programme where all the promoters were together wheeling and dealing?
The reason Jesus didn't have to leave America is because they agreed on his first fight with Kessler being stateside and his next two are against Americans.
Everyone else has to travel.
Dirrell to England.
Taylor to Germany.
Kessler to USA.
Froch to Denmark.
Arthur to America.

Good Post Hatton.
It's not like Kessler is by any means out of this tournament yet. I would give him a good chance against Abraham, Froch, Dirrell and even Ward in a rematch. And Dirrell just barely lost to Froch; he has to be a live dog against Abraham.
- Abraham (3). If he beats Dirrell with a knockout, he is clearly in the lead going into the next round.
- Ward (2) - He'll face Taylor or Green next. I doubt we'll see him stop Taylor even if he wins and if Green steps in for Taylor, I like Green's chances as underdog. If he lost his next round the whole tournament is up in the air. If he wins, Abraham and Ward are in the top two places.
- Froch (2). He loses against Kessler by a wide margin. Movement may beat Kessler, but Froch doesn't move. He loses and we have Froch and Kessler tied at 3 and 4.
- Kessler (0) - He beats Froch and gains two or three points.
- Taylor/Green could beat Ward.
- Dirrell - tough match against Arbaham but he was the on the outside looking in from tbe beginning.
Edit: Ward only gets two points.

abraham has fought in the u.s before so there is no reason that he wont now... and i think it has more to do with the rules of the tournament than who is the bigger draw

nope, only 2 pts for ward, no matter how much you want to believe it was a stoppage... it wasnt
Re: The Super Six is nearly dead. Fact.
can some one please explain to me exactly how this works? do they all have 3 fights and then the top 4 go into the semi final?

Yup. 1 fights 4 and 2 fights 3, winners fight each other.

Exactly. He gave Miranda the rematch in his own backyard so I don't see why he wouldn't fight Dirrell in a relatively neutral venue. Dirrell is going to beat him though.
Re: The Super Six is not dead. Fact.
AA has consistently voiced his desire to fight in the US. I don't see why he wouldn't want a chance to showcase his talent in the US. Dirrell doesn't have a big following in general and is from Flint, Michigan, a location not likely to have the fight. It could be at MSG/Wamu theatre or where Froch fought Taylor in Conn. On the other hand, there is a big Armenian polulation in the LA area, maybe a casino around there...
To the question posed - what motivation do Dirrell or Taylor/Green have to remain in the tournament if they lose their next matches? - the answer is money. I don't know the contract specifics, but Dirrell and Taylor/Green are guaranteed another big fight and another chance to walk away with a sizable purse. For Taylor, that means he fights Kessler, which in Europe/Denmark is a big money fight, and really in the US is as big of a fight as Froch/Taylor was. For Dirrell, it is a face off between two Olympic partners, a sizable purse, not to mention big chance at redeeming himself even if he is coming off of two losses.

Dirrell will have to improve massively for that to be true imo

If Taylor loses again he'll be worth two bob to Kessler. That fight wont happen in a million years. In fact he's worth two bob now to Ward.
Showtime will be absoloutely shitting themselves about Abraham-Dirrell. Dirrell wins they have a dream match on their hands - all-American "world" title fight showdown. He loses, the fight ain't even a quarter as big.
Abraham loses to Dirrell. Froch loses to Kessler. You have a LOSERS showdown for no "world" title. How the hell they gonna sell that? (;D)
