source? and Marquez beats him regardless
it's at boxingscene. i think hatton has better chances at 147
I'd be surprised if he did fight again at 147 as i dont think hes anywhere near as effective as he is at 140. Having said that, hes got some junk to lose but he should go the whole way down to 140 if hes fighting again IMO
Re: ricky hatton to comeback as welterweight
I wouldnt be surprissed if Hatton stopped Marquez in 4 but the longer it goes the advantage leans towards Marquez imo.

Marquez is too small for Hatton. I agree on the early stoppage. It might be a bit like Castillo. Everyone is saying that he can't stop him and then he does. Of course, he is shot after that. Marquez, I mean.

As much as i like him as a person and fighter, i cringe at the thought of what could happen to him. He has one one the biggest hearts out there, but his sharpness and ability to dodge punches has weakened. He will make the weight no problem, because he is a determined and disciplined trainer. Anybody have any idea who could be training him? He's bound to get a new team in after blaming the pac defeat on his training camp.
Re: ricky hatton to comeback as welterweight
147 is too big for him. Billy Graham said as much after the Mayweather fight and I'm sure Ricky said the same thing at a later date too. But if the rumours were right and he struggled to make the weight for his last fight then he'd be weight drained if he still had to make 140 especially at 30 after blowing up again. He really shouldn't bother coming back. I can see him walking into JMM counters all night long. JMM isn't the fighter he was and looked rubbish at 147 last time but Hatton isn't Mayweather, JMM would hardly be able to miss.

I would have thought he will stick with Lee Beard bud, not heard anything to suggest any new trainers coming in, but as always, watch this space ;)
