Barry is too slow to play left back. He's filled in a few times for us and looked dodgy.

Tell you what though, i'd take Adam Johnson in a flash. He's looked top quality for us. Good with both feet, got pace and skills and decent strength. Top quality delivery from free-kicks and corners. He's really impressed me. He's looked much better than SWP has anyway.

Great shout that do you think he could play on the left? Looks good from what I have seen of him, very quick and tricky reminds a bit of Valencia what I have seen of him.

I don't think SWP has got a hope of going thats probably our strongest posistion the right side, but I think Johnson could do a job on the left if needed, Cole has been shocking this season Downing not good enough imo and looks like Gerrard will be playing there.

But I do like Johnson.

He hasnt even played a handful of games for your lot yet and your already talking him up for the england squad???

Villa have the best wide options in the country in milner and young. Said all along that young should start and that milner should get the second right sided slot.

Left side is such a problem for us - stewart downing is not the answer and never is going to be, joe cole is a complete no-no because you just cant keep him fit. Best left sided player in the league at the mo is etherington but you cant take him surely??

None of this John Terry stuff came as a surprise to me.

Only weeks before he got married a few years back he banged a girl i know over in Portugal.

There was even kids toys scattered about on the floor in his villa so he obviously doesn't give a flying fuck.

Wayne Bridge pulling out of the England team is a pretty big blow imo and Ashley Cole is gonna be about 60% fit if he even makes it.

Makes you wonder if any other England players are snubbing Terry behind closed doors.

Can't believe for a second that the entire squad would be on his side after all this as they all know Wayne Bridge really well too.

Yeah based on the fact that Walcott isn't firing at all, SWP isn't even getting in our team (because of Johnson) and Lennon probably won't play much before the WC. Young isn't playing well. Beckham doesn't offer much threat apart from set pieces. Milner is being used in the centre, so basically that leaves Downing...

So yeah, i'd take a chance on Johnson. It's less of a risk than taking Walcott was in 2006. He can cover both flanks.

This story is getting a bit tiresome now but from everything ive read ive come to 3 inescapable conclusions;
1. Terry is a dirty, dishonourable c**t

Actually, I think that Defoe should absolutely be at the attack of your english squad, he has a very good year and always seem to play with fire on his heels, Rooney-Defoe should be a good dart at the offense if for once Rooney can perform internationally as he does locally.

Stick Heskey into that mix...lads firing well of late!
