When people read that one woman was shot in the face and that two girls were killed, they have a pretty good idea of what's going on. Perhaps the general public does not, but no one participating in this thread doesn't know what violence looks like.

Those pictures are only anecdotal evidence anyways. I'm sure you could find images of dead Israeli soldiers and civilians and of Arab's doing things comparable to what those Jewish kids are doing in the other picture. It adds very little to the argument IMO, and it drives people like myself away from these types of discussions. Maybe other people feel differently or that I'm a pussy or whatever, but that is my opinion. And for the record, I firmly sympathize with the Palestinians.

Yes, I have now slept and am back to my dictatorial ways. There was also a report from a couple of weeks ago saying that the Israeli's had blocked my beloved Chomsky from gaining access to Palestine. The delays meant that he was unable to deliver his lectures in the end. Why would you fuck with the time of a man in his 80's who does nothing more than talk? Elvis Costello also refused to go to Israel and cancelled previously booked concerts. Though he shouldn't have booked the concerts in the first place.

I'm not impressed with the muted US response in the slightest. What Israel did was awful, now just come and bloody say it was awful. Always hiding behind words! :rolleyes:

I came across this video I hadn't seen before with Chomsky talking a little about how the Israeli's were trying to stop him getting to Palestine. Now this woman conducting the interview seems to represent all those kinds of views that I hate so much. It's as though she has consumed a diet of propaganda ice cream non stop for a good 20 years or so. She is extremely offensive to me. I love Chomsky, he always keeps his cool and argues his rational point of view well. I would probably have got up and headbutted her. Haha, no I probably wouldn't have done that, but I would be quite rude.

Jesus had followers probably but not those mention in the bible and these followers didn't write nothing or at least what they wrote hasn't been found/declared.
It is also to be known that Judas wrote a book, we've found it a couple of years after, the Church admitted it but didn't want it to be part of the bible and this book is quite interesting because it tells the history in all another way.

As for Israel's situation: Kirklang did sums it pretty well, I agree 100% with it and have not much else to say. It is also silly to say "HA-HAA! Look at the activists what they did!!". If some guys were landing on my boat from the airs in NEUTRAL WATER where they have absolutely no rights to do so, you can bet on it I would go all hell to defend myself and what I bring with me.
