Carry on.
I blasted pac for ducking a drug test. To my knowledge haye has not point blank been offered a drug test and refused. if he did do that you can bet your ass I'd be giving him as much shit.
I don't defend haye because as far as I'm concerned there is nothing to defend (at this moment in time).
But as I've always said you can't slam a fighter for fighting substandard opposition and then cheer on a guy who does exactly the same thing.
My point is there is no good guy and bad guy here.
Although that said marketing haye as the loud mouth bad guy and the klits as good guys is going to be good for business all round.
Now you're just dwelling on the semantics when you're mentioning the tests. Pacquiao was 1 guy you've criticized for not fighting Mayweather and another is Amir Khan. Yet on the other hand you've defended Haye tooth and nail for pulling this stunt. Didn't you call Khan a fraud and coward for not fighting the best 140 pound fighters? But on the other hand you're the first guy to step into these kinds of threads to defend Haye for not fighting the Klits.
How about a little bit more consistency? What's good for the goose is good for the gander.
No I've not defended haye. I just haven't lambasted him.
And it's not semantics at all. theres a whole world of difference between
'i'll fight you if/when the money is right'
and
'i'll only fight you if I don't have to have a steroid test so I can carry on cheating'
Haye's never turned down the klit fight because he wasn't allowed an nfair advantage in the ring.
The only common ground here is one of the fighters in question wasn't allowed by his opponant to have an unfair advantage in the ring or round the negotiating table. And you're pissed about that!?
I'm for an even playing field and a fair transparent sport. Obviously these are things that you find distastful. I don't think that's something to be proud of.
KHAN ISSUE
Yes I did. Like I said earlier theres no difference between fighting valuev, ruiz and barrett and fighting peter, arreola, briggs, tua, sosnowski, johnson, chagaev, povetkin, chambers, meehan or any other bum.
Haye didn't get KO'ed avoid a rematch and instead fight some bum for a title and instead of taking legit opposition or giving a rematch to his conquorer he looked for the easiest fights possible against non punchers.
Haye beat the legit WBA champ and then went to the negotiating table with the Klits. In my view thats a big difference. But you're going to ignore that.
From media reports Pacquiao has accepted the Mayweather deal even supposedly up to the day of the fight on drug tests, so it's a moot point to say he doesn't want to get tested. And by the way it's a straw man argument to say I condone drug cheating in boxing.
On Khan, you can't talk shit on fighters not fighting the best and then defend Haye for doing the same thing. Sure Khan didn't rematch the guy who ko him but neither has Haye. Like I've said, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Haye is doing the same shit that Khan has, you know avoiding the top guys of his division that can beat him and taking gimme fights.
And Haye, he talked shit constantly about the Klits for 2 years. It's time to step up already.

Yeah you'll be doing a lot of waiting ;D....it's not speculation, Chicken Little called Wlad out before he even got into the freaking division...you just can't (unless you're Charlie Zelenoff) talk that type of shit and then decline to fight when offered a chance....that is utter bullcrap.
Re: Haye's version of why klitschko fight didn't happen
The thing that bugs me most about Haye is him trying to build up his resume at HW. He fought a journeyman in Barrett, the weakest of the belt holders in Valuev (a guy even an ancient Holyfield did better against), then fought a Ruiz who is ancient and was never particularly good anyway. And now Audley Harrison? Sorry, but Haye is a joke if he wants to talk about his resume in a superior kind of way. It's an average HW resume and there are a dozen better fights to be made than Harrison.
Re: Haye's version of why klitschko fight didn't happen
He's talking drivel like most of the time, but heck the public won't really know the difference and for all they know valuev and ruiz were killer beasts in the ring who would have decapitated a prime tyson. Haye is a lot of talk with little substance.
Re: Haye's version of why klitschko fight didn't happen
I had to stop at the point where he invoked Ruiz as validation :lolhaha: Literally spooked the dog I laughed so loud . I'm thinking he was out having some drinks, had a discussion and heard some critacism...then popped in the suv and did some damage control as he knows the announcement of next opponent will draw some " :tumbleweed: " What a flipping daytime diva he is. In no position to make demands on established champions....put your pomp-pride in your pocket...secure the fight...shut mouth then throw fists...prove your point. Done!

It's a game. Without publicly chasing the Klitschko's, Haye wouldn't be the name on everyone's lips. He's creating publicity for himself and in doing so he's securing his financial future, and the more he wins and sells out arena's at heavyweight, the bigger say he'll have in contract negotiations with the Klitschko's. I understand the criticism, but people have to realise what he is doing, and they have to understand he was always going to do this.
I realize what he's doing but because of this I will be criticizing him. Fair enoough right?
Re: Haye's version of why klitschko fight didn't happen
Holyfield has called Haye out. I think he might just accept if Evander cancels his fight in November. I know this is still not an acceptable fight as Evander is way too old and should have retired after the Lewis fights IMO, but it is certainly better than Haye vs Harrison, and of all the jokes that make up the American HW scene Evander is by far in the best shape. Problem is Haye might just get more credit than he deserves if he fights and beats Evander, as it is a name that everyone in the world knows and although everyone knows he is very old, the everyday man in the street would find this fight easier to relate to due to the glory days of Holyfield being the last time boxing was truly great.

Yeah it's fair enough to offer criticism, but some people are going way over the top with it.

Which is why boxing loses fans by the droves every single day. Tell me... why can't boxing BE that simple? It would have more fans... (correction: knowledgeable fans) if it were. You see, THAT'S why I don't give a rat's ass about PPV numbers and about how many millions so-and-so makes or who make more money than who. Precisely because of this type of bullshit. Haye's defenders say that it's not the right time ($$$) for Haye to fight Klitschko now. I say that's a crock. What is Haye waiting for... for Wlad to get old? get injured? lose? What possible plausible explanation can there be for Haye to NOT be seeking a fight with Wlad right now? Sorry... maybe I don't have three PhD's to be able to understand the logistics. But it's all a crock of sh*t to me.
You know... people get respected more when they don't try to defend the undefensible.
;)

i think the haye wlad/vitali fight is gettin less & less appealing now as everyone gettin pissed bored of hearing abt it, then falling thru (haye pulling out basically).
Re: Haye's version of why klitschko fight didn't happen
It's because people have finally come to my side of the argument and realized that Chicken Little has 2 chances to win a fight vs Wlad.....Slim and None.....and slim just left town ;D
The guy is 110% HYPE and if he ever decides to fight Wlad he's goign to get slaughtered...just expect it because it WILL happen
