you think there are no decisions come down to politics? you really think it doesnt happen in boxing?
lewis hollyfield 1?
No, of course I agree with you, it obviously does sometimes but the examples you gave in the other thread weren't particulary good examples to be honest.
perhaps there are better examples, im happy for you to dispute that, thats what a forum is all about
i think the judges got it wrong on all of those occasion and i think the fighters and the p;osition in their carears had an influence
does that make me a village idiot?

add in Froch wouldn't dare to take the rematch in a fight that he was very lucky to get a hometown decision in ;)
That's what i meant by him not going to the US for the fight.
To be fair, it was a shit fight to score. My impression was Dirrell won it, but i'm not watching it again to score it. Fuck that. I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.

at the risk of sounding boring this is why i think dirrell lost
Boxing is the entertainment business, i watch it because it excites me like nothing else, dirrell made that fight what it was, such a big event for boxing, one of the worst fights i have seen, and froch did all the pushing
the clinching and the running lost dirrell the rounds significantly

Have you ever seen the criteria judges use for scoring a round? It is a professional sport with at least supposed rules and criteria for scoring and none of them have anything to do with being entertaining or exciting.

Rounds don't get scored for a fighter just because he plods forward landing very little. If Froch was in any way able to cut the ring off he probably would have been able to back Dirrell into a corner and land more, which in turn would have forced Dirrell to throw more. Personally I thought Dirrell took it by a a few rounds, but I haven't watched it since and don't plan to. I agree that the fight was horrible to watch and that was mainly down to Dirrell's gameplan, but it was up to Froch to try and counter that gameplan, which is something he didn't/couldn't do
Re: Froch vs Dirrell 2 a possibility!!
Koppas v Eric has just been added to the undercard of me v Hornfinger. ;D
Re: Froch vs Dirrell 2 a possibility!!
I just think its funny how just 2 years ago we were saying froch is not fighting anyone of worth and needs to step up and is avoiding big challenges, now we give him as an example of someone willing to fight anyone anywhere.

Yeah but if was judged like that Emmanuel Augustus would be p4p number 1. ;D

my thoughts exactly, guys like Augustus, Ward, Gatti, and Mayorga would be considered the greatest fighters ever to have lived if pure excitement won fights lol
Re: Froch vs Dirrell 2 a possibility!!
Well, I do hope both Froch and Dirrell get a victory in their next fight. I'm a fan of both fighters, so I would certainly watch if they did indeed have a rematch.
Re: Froch vs Dirrell 2 a possibility!!
as boxing fans i cannot believe you would actually be happy and support a dirrell victory in that fight, you must of been watching a different fight than me
just a point on the entertainment thing, judges dont score rounds on entertainment, but boxing is the entertainment business and they do on fighting and engaging in a fight and willingness to fight for the sake of the business, dirrell did none of that and every time there was any fight in the fight he clinched and complained
the right man won, although if i was the ref it wouldnt have gone past 6 rounds
