Re: Khan v Peterson April 16th M.E.N Arena, Manchester, England..
Khan is fighting mc who ?? Guess he figures if he couldn't outbox peterson or in case of emergency out run him it's too big of a risk. Hey beating this mc whoever definatly puts him in line to fight floyd though right ? Amazing. To khans credit it's not like too many others are fighting the best out there either.

Pathetic haha, maybe Peterson who was offered his biggest payday by a country mile didn't fancy the job was the real reason. ;)

His resume is shocking to put it nicely, his next defence was against some bum he is/was 1/33 on to beat. Not surprised no one knows who he is.

European champion, ring ranked...Well known in Ireland, moderately well known in Britain where he has beaten most of the other LWW. I'd have thought Some Americans would have had some idea about him.

If HBO give the seal of approval this is the most likely fight.
McCloskey closing in on world title shot
Paul McCloksey: ‘Dudey’ Khan do damage to Amir on his own doorstep

Not much worse than Damian Fuller, Willy Blain and Lanardo Tyner. Though Lauri isn't a bad win either for Dudey. Problem is he's been fighting down to his opponents level recently which has been annoying to watch.

Re: Khan v Peterson April 16th M.E.N Arena, Manchester, England..
I'd be disappointed. Paul, while decent, has done nothing outside of domestic level in reality. His European opponents haven't been upto much. I was hoping for a bigger named opponent for a fight over here. I feel short changed. Hardly PPV worthy.

For what it's worth - BBC Sport - Amir Khan 'happy' to fight Paul McCloskey
Lamont Peterson, hmmm... What has he got that Khan is afraid of...?

Re: Khan v Peterson April 16th M.E.N Arena, Manchester, England..
Khan spoke of bringing the big fights to the UK. Well this can't be considered a big fight, it's highly disappointing especially considering Bradley or Alexander would be next. Peterson was a decent enough name to be considered acceptable at this stage. Considering the talent at 140, McClosky hasn't done enough to get this fight. I like him, he's a decent fighter but really he should be alot further down the que to get a shot like this.

Re: Khan v Peterson April 16th M.E.N Arena, Manchester, England..
f it I'm not going to hate on khan for this, if he wants an "easy" homecomming fight after maidana go for it...earned a lot of respect in my eyes for that fight. just as long as he fights a name opponent again next time out. only thing that really sucks about it if reports are true is that of all fights this is the fight to stop wlad-haye from happening:confused:

It's gonna be real funny if McCloskey beats Khan, oh man am I gonna talk some shit.
