Exactly mate. I said it at the time, should've agreed to the fight and called Wlad's bluff. If he then pulled out, fair play, Haye was right all along and Wlad didn't want anything to do with it. The fact Haye used the Chisora fight as an excuse NOT to agree to July 2nd says it all for me. Regardless of how erics44 tries to gloss it over.
dude, what would have happened if haye would have signed?
wlad would have waited till the 1st july and then pulled out, and sorry to use a fensterism but that is a fact
then haye has 3 months before he retires, so dude haye was (to use a koppasism) RIGHT not to sign, wlad would have just took the PISS even more
dude, its good to feel passionate about stuff and your hate for haye is passion, but its missdirected unfortunately
Let's just agree to disagree.
You think Wlad is to blame. I know David is to blame.
End of.
I agree that i think that wlad is to blame, i dont agree that you know david is to blame, you just think he is (in fact i dont think you think he is i just think you want him to be)
I am sure there is some blame on hayes side but i am struggling to see how anyone would come to the conclusion that haye is solely (even majority) to blame considering the recent negotiations
I also struggle with the fact that a boxing fan would so unconditionally side with wlad in this situation. OK haye is a bit of a dick but wlad is the most boring heavyweight champ certainly in my lifetime

That's your opinion. I personally like Wlad and feel that he doesn't get the respect he deserves. They can only beat what it is in front of them and his KO record is superb. Along with his brother. They can retire happy with what they have achieved. Haye, whether you like it or not, cannot.

Calling Wlad's bluff to make him look a pussy might satisfy some fans but i'm afraid that's not the real world ;)
You could apply this logic to any boxer so I don't, entirely, get the point. Any fighter could pull out of a fight at the last minute.
That's why it's very rare (if ever) fights are signed with the stipulation that you can have an other one beforehand. Which obviously increases the chance of a pull out through loss, injury, etc.
Now consider Klitschko's history - He hasn't fought twice in such close proximity for over ten years. But for his biggest fight ever, he will be ready and willing to fit the healing time, training and worldwide promotion into that tight window.
If Haye wasn't able to earn multi-million paydays without Wlad, then maybe sitting around waiting for him to earn money with "warm-up" fights would be understandable, however that is quite simply not the case ;)

im not sayiong wlad is shit, i have said on a number of occasions on this forum a prime klit could beat any heavyweight in history on their day, i cant see who would topple them in the form they are in
i do think haye has a chance tho with his speed and power against wlad
you seem to think i have lots of love for haye, i dont dude, it doesnt bother me whether haye has a legacy or not, or whether or not he is happy with his achievements
for the record i think he lost the valuev fight and was extremely lucky to get the decision especially out in germany, i thought both ruiz and hollyfield put on better shows against valuev
i am sure he is quite pleased with his achievements tho and the money he has made
and i am pretty sure that if it was down to haye we would have the klit fight signed and ready to go

See, this kind of argument I can listen to and respect. Written with facts and well thought out.
Erics44 on the other hand, I can't take anyone seriously who uses the word dude three times in one post and says things like "fact" when something clearly isn't.

Job Biscuit (Peasents)!!!!
eh eh!!
Come on we all know brits are soft. ;D I actually give Haye credit if he takes this fight and impresses. I also dont think Haye is ducking Chagaev, I wouldnt want to get hepatitus. I also dont think he should have to get a vaccine just to fight the guy. Also Chagaev has been crap ever since he tore his achillies.

Hate is a very strong word. I don't hate him. I can just see through the bullshit. I could post quotes that he has made from the past couple of years and provide you with information regarding these quotes but I have a feeling you may spontaneously combust at the thought and research that would've gone into the post.

Yup, 1-0 to you.
I'm admitting defeat. Your boxing knowledge and expertise has blown me away. I simply can't compete on your level.

Can't believe you were about to get into a boxing knowledge argument with Koppas. Probably best to argue you about things you know about. Like threads on bumming...that appeared to be your forte.

its not my knowledge of boxing that has got me the advantage dude (I know you love it when i call you dude), its my objective view point on the haye wlad negotiation saga and its your passionate dislike for haye that has let you down
p.s. i knew you wouldnt have any of the quotes and information regarding the quotes :D

""I will knock out both Klitschkos in 2010"
- Either I was asleep when this happened or it just didn't.
“Adam Booth and my team are trying hard to get me a quality opponent.
- This was shortly before he announced he was fighting Audley Harrison.
"I'm looking forward to cleaning up the division"
- This was said after he fought Nikolai Valuev. Since then he has fought an over the hill John Ruiz and an ongoing joke in Audley Harrison whilst, in between this, pulling out of negotiations with Wladimir. One of the fighters he claimed he would knock out in the very same year. He is due to retire in October. Not sure who has done the clearing up here, he must have a maid.
" He just wants safe fights at no risk against old fighters"
- This is what his camp had the audactity to say about Vitali. Hayes fights at heavyweight: Barrett, 37. Valuev, 36. Ruiz, 38. Harrison, 39. As you can see, Haye doesn't go near old fighters...
"The Klits avoided John Ruiz for ten years and I beat him".
- This would be the 38 year Ruiz who is a shadow of his former, world class self.
"Dont hide come and fight. Why are you running for....."
- This was said during the Haye/Wlad face to face in 2008. Haye pulled out of the fight...
There are many, MANY others but I think I have made my point. I feel dirty for having to go over old ground here (sorry Saddos) but it seems that some people need to be educated to a certain degree in boxing knowledge basics.
