Re: Honestly, how do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go?
I agree with rjj tszyu's scenario. I honestly think Haye will KO him. Two years ago I thought it was a mismatch (in Wlad's favour of course). A year ago I thought Wlad was a borderline cert.
But now we know what Haye's tactics will be. He will be cagey. He will be looking to con Wlad on to something. And I think he will. Then I will experience the greatest moment ever in my life. Not the Haye victory. But the pure satisfaction that somewhere in America Lyle is blubbing his little heart out.
Haye KO 4-8. Fact.
Re: Honestly, how do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go?
I actually think Haye is a marginal favourite in this. He has recently backed up everything he says and has shown he can go abroad and claim major titles on more than one occasion. This to me gives me no reason to doubt his bottle and I'm curious why those that think it will crash get any supporting evidence from.
I also think Haye is the smartest boxed Wlad has faced. If you look at all his recent fights he has fought a different game plan in each and always been successful. He just seems to be able to find a way to win and I don't see Wlad changing that.
So, for me this is a points win for Haye. He will use his speed to get in and out and confuse Wlad. If he attacks with speed Wlad will cover as he always does and this will negate the chance for him to land a counter. I don't see the knockout as i believe Haye will sacrifice power for speed to claim a close points decision.
As an aside I think Wlad is more of a challenge than Vitali and I can see Haye again using his speed to win a wide points decision.
So in summary:
Haye vs Wlad = Haye close points
Haye vs Vitali = Haye wide points

I favour Wlad heavily but wouldnt be shocked in the slightest
If this were the Wlad who was stopped by Brewster & Sanders, I wouldn't be shocked at all. I'm of the opinion that Haye and his punching power are being highly overrated by some of you, I see nothing from the former crusierweight that indicates that he'll be able to KO Wlad and if he does, yes, i'd be totally shocked.

Right, expect some 'tricks' from Haye, the problem is, Wlad has seen it all, and is going to be ready for anything this clown tries to do.
Re: Honestly, how do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go?
I definitely agree with the poster who said that Haye's chances are as good as anyone else's lately.
Chambers had no chance because he had no power and was simply too small and immoble to outbox Wlad.
Peters was tough and had decent power but was too immoble to effectively hit Wlad.
Sure, Haye may not have a great chin but at least he has a chance to hit Wlad. Granted he does not posses 1 shot KO power but he definitely can stun with one punch. He will need to get a flurry in in order to beat Wlad.
Haye's biggest challenge will be getting on the inside without being hit too hard, and finding a way to deal with Wlad in the clinch. If he figures that out, he has a chance.

The most likely scenario I see, is something simular to Wlad's fight with another small HW, Eddie Chambers. Chambers was able to go 12 rounds with Wlad before getting brutally KTFO. I figure Haye, who isn't even as good as Chambers, will only make it to the 7th or 8th round before getting crushed by one of Klitschko's big right hands.
How do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go? (be honest)
haye would batter chambers, it would be over a lot quicker than the chambers fight with wlad
however, like most I think wlad is the favourite but haye has a very good chance
i cant help but think that haye will land at least once
and with wlad it only takes one
I definitely agree that Haye's speed will allow him to land some heavy shots, but it has never taken just one punch to stop Wlad.

Wlad has never fought this "clown."
Wlad is a strong favourite, without doubt, but Haye is different to all his most recent opponents. Haye TRULY believes he is going to beat him. However much people hate Haye they can't deny the guy has supreme confidence in himself. Plus KO power. Plus impressive speed for a heavyweight.
Haye KO 4-12. It's been written. Fact.

Haye's combination of speed and power is what makes this such an interesting fight. I don't think Wlad has ever fought anyone like him. I really think this fight could go either way and there are very few outcomes which would legitimately surprise me.

Exactly. If Haye was such a duff opponent everyone wouldn't be so eager to see it. If Wlad wins, for sure people will rubbish Haye, but the scale of the event will make history regard it as a great win.
Re: Honestly, how do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go?
Wlad just broke up with his gf to focus on fxcking Haye.....up.
Wlad vis KTFO 8th round after Haye slows down from running away ;D

I don't think he'll run. Haye might get stopped early and he'll use angles and movement, but he won't run like he did in the Valuev fight.
Re: Honestly, how do you really expect Wlad vs. Haye to go?
If he has the right gameplan, haye can win, but I think haye is gonna get hurt, he is gonna try to counter wlad, and run into the right hand

That's not true. The Sam Peter fights spring immediately to mind.
