The British Title is still very prestigious though, but maybe if only for fighters that are never gonna be world beaters? :-\
the commonwealth belt is a decent belt
One below the british if you like and very prestigeous
and the commonwealth games are decent, the one in Manchester a few years back did endless good for the city and the country
for instance the veladrome (spelling) was built for the games and since a lot of the training for the british bike athletes happens there, and look at how many golds we won in those events in the last olympics

i think you just need to win 3 british title fights at the same weight dont you to get one to keep?

The list of outright winners is actually pretty small.
From Wikipedia
That is a fascinating list! Thanks.
Winstone is one of those guys we don't talk about enough.
I heard a while back that there was a film about Winstone coming out. Might be interesting.
The film is called Risen, and TBH it aint great.
Al though it does have Erik Morales in it.

Yeah... Then you made a valid point regarding Regeneration. But that has nothing to do with the Commonwealth belt.
So what I'm saying is, I retract my comment about The games, simply on the premise it creates jobs & wealth for our nation (tbc).
Kapeesh?

i get you now, you need to make this shit clear in the first place
by the way, the commonwealth belt is a very valid belt
not only does it give british fighters a clear route to the british title it also gives fighters from poorer african countries who are struggling to live a chance to make some money

Meh... It's not valid. The commonwealth is not valid as it is virtually not existent.

Well, it's a Commonwealth title which is a joke because the the Commonwealth is a sham. Non-entity.
It may as well be the Super British Title.
And even if the Commonwealth games does generate jobs and such, I still find it farcical. Even Britain barley exists, let alone the Nation of the Commonwealth. What Commonwealth?!
I mean why compete as England for one set of games but suddenly your Team GBR for the other games? It's just daft and out dated.

No. We should get rid of them but it would cost far too much money!
Where I am born is simply a matter of circumstance to which I'm no victim of.

;D No. Gives most 'Brit's' something to talk about.
Re: British/Common Wealth titles ? What do they mean ?
In most cases the belt holder is usually the best in the division (unless there's world champs etc) and even if the belt holder isn't the best then competition for the belt can be pretty good. For me that makes the British title very relevant and i'm happy it's still something held in high regard among other fighters.
Even now some of the fights we see for the British title are breathtaking because it's a belt still worth fighting for!
If i was a pro i'd love one ;D
