Re: Khan: "Bradley is afraid to fight me"
A year ago Tim Bradley was the young guy doing everything I could ask of a fighter.
Today it is Amir Kahn.
In this case I really want to see the two of them in the ring and actually create a champion at 140 and if Kahn's talk gets it done? I'm ok with that.
Re: Khan: "Bradley is afraid to fight me"
I actually think he may be right. Bradley was offered 50/50 to fight Khan, who is already a bigger draw than Bradley and he just refused without any clear reason. I think the real reason is that he is afraid of losing his 0 if he is not making giant money out of a fight which to be fair Khan cannot yet demand but Bradley never will.
Re: Khan: "Bradley is afraid to fight me"
Bradley was waiting to switch promoters. He wanted his contract to expire before taking another fight.
It's really simple. It's promotional issues. Not fear. It's a great fight that needs to get made now though.
Re: Khan: "Bradley is afraid to fight me"
Amir Khan is simply trying to goal Bradley into fighting him by any means necessary. Bradley built up momentum and earned the right to be regarded as the best at the weight but has stalled. Of course Bradley is not scared of Amir but he is ducking fighting him for contractual/promotional/management issues. You cannot blame Amir for what he is saying; you can blame Bradley for not accepting the fight and taking on lesser fighters from this point on though. Amir needs to beat Bradley to be classed the best at the weight and he wants to do that before he moves up weight, so ideally that would be Amir’s next fight, so he has to try and make it happen, even if he looks the bad guy doing it.
