You are correct he completley earnt the right to fight Mayweather after stopping Castillo brilliantly up at 147 and gave Floyd a lot more problems than many of his more handpicked unworthy opponents. Talk of Rickys limited abilities and overhyped skills seem to indicate an ill informed notion that there is only one way to fight or that his fights before Mayweather and Pac were all against nobodies.He had real fighting heart and that puts him in the company of some real legends, brilliant boxer or not.

The problem was when he fought Manny his punch resitence was out the window. Thats the problem when you have a career of defending knock out punches with your face. By the end of your career you have no punch resistance.
What I will say in his favour though is that he is the last person I have seen come out and actually try and fight Mayweather and Pac. I dont think he had it in him to go onto a fight just to last to the end and say I went 12 rounds with someone. He would rather go down fighting.
That is what made him an exciting fighter and a real warrior. The one thing that escapes are top two P4P fighters.[/QUOTE]

Stars suffering mental illness sometimes gets little sympathy because they have fame and fortune. However anyone can suffer mental issues and I hope he gets the right treatment and lives and happy and productive life in boxing and takes over Frank Warren.

Im begining to wonder what might be the reaction of pacman if he heard that hatton had a hard time putting himself back on his feet after the loss. Knowing pacman, he could have say some message to ricky for him to think about.
