I don't get the eye-rolling? I'm not a Miguel supporter as such but he's a good fighter with a pleasing style. If margarito wins, then it was because he had that style to handle Cotto.
It still doesn't excuse him from being an illegal hand-wrapping piece of shit and no one will still ever know whether he did it in the first Cotto fight or not.
I think most Miguel supporters will be on the edge of their seat anyway because for me this is a pick-em fight. I would say 70-30 in Cotto's favour if the hand wraps were indeed worn in the first fight..but around 50-50 if Margarito's victory was legit in their first fight.
It's compelling because there is still so much mystery regardless of the fact that they have fought once before.

And let’s say we were 100% sure that he cheated vs Cotto. Ok, this time around, having him checked with a magnifying glass to make sure he doesn’t cheat, yet, he wins again, would he get credit? We can say “But he was about to cheat with Shane Mosley” sure, but we’re talking about NOW.

That is what makes the fight interesting for me. This time around people will make sure nothing questionable happens so, who will really win? Tony took Miguel punches with ease. How will it be this time around? Both come from a pretty bad beating so we can't really say "Oh, he lost because he came from a beating" nope, both did. Or even say "Well, he did beat Miguel this time around but...he was caught before" come on, that has been taken care of already. We are talking about what will happen this time around.

Credit for what? He's a convicted cheater... who has shown no remorse for what he's done. time and time again I give Manny full credit for beating Cotto, the fact that I don't like Pacquiao has nothing to do with the Cotto fight, in fact was getting tired of all the hype from way before hand

I guess you have not read my posts on this or any other Margarito thread, I know Margarito has cheated and I know he is the scum of all boxing, I keep saying it first. Im not cheering for him to win more as I am cheering for your man to lose. Cotto is a great fighter I just think his fans are as snobby talking about him as he is sometimes when he is in the ring or when he talks about himself in interviews.
So just like everyone gets on the Pac and May fans, I think the Cotto fans are pretty much on the same level and that makes me want to see him fall to see you guys disappear of the threads until his first post fight interview.

I am not a fanboy of either boxer. I have said before that I think Margarito will likely win against Cotto, based on how they fought Pacquiao. Despite this, I have always maintained my support for Cotto in this fight.
For me, when an athlete is caught cheating especially in a highly violent sport such as boxing, that person loses my vote. Margarito would have damaged the lives of a lot of these fighters had he not been caught before the Mosley fight. And him being unremorseful is sickening. He should not even have been allowed to fight.
However, after seeing the look of that right eye, I am more confident that Cotto will take advantage of it and inflict more damage to that eye. I am starting to lean more on a Cotto victory.
