Not really surprising; Koreans are known as rude brutes all over Asia. They've been coming here in swarms last couple years to learn English and many Pinoys have been annoyed by their boorish ways, tending to get physical sometimes. Koreans do have a bad reputation in other Asian countries. There is no denying that. Sex tourism is a problem and the Philippines has a growing number of half Korean fatherless kids to deal with. It doesn't help that public schools teach racist ideals from a very young age. The hatred for Japan is awful. Imagine everyone still hating the Germans with such vitriol. Furthermore, though developed, Korea still has its own problems with wealth inequalities. The elite are doing very well, but the bulk of the middle class is based upon credit and could get swallowed up at any time. I actually encourage a property collapse as I have been sensible and don't live beyond my means. But if that does happen and it could well do so this year, then I wouldn't be so quick to mock the living standards of Philippines.
Korea is developed, but the vast majority are teetering on a knife edge. Nice apartment, big car but nothing in the bank.
And only fools like K pop or Korean dramas, they are awful and full of people with daft hair do's and butchered faces.
Regardless of the current economy, korea and philipines are nothing alike.
I hope u can make gather up enough money to get out of korea ,miles. there is no reason to live in a country u love to criticize so much.
and it's easy for a third party like u to talk about forgiveness . If your family didnt suffer from the japanese occupation, u cant speak on it.

I have no intentions of leaving, it is just as much my country as yours believe it or not. I like Korea, but see no problems criticizing problem areas. And yes I can speak on the Japanese occupation as I am more informed on the issue more than most Koreans. Europeans don't have their children drawing hate pictures of Germany, so the Koreans can get over it too. It's a spiteful and xenophobic thing to do.Quote:

I criticize wrongdoing wherever it may be and I see nothing particularly hostile in hoping for a depreciation in housing prices . They are well out of wack here.
And as for those hideous television shows and the generic music. The other threads show that I have little time for teen girls doing absurd dances whilst miming or for low brow television. It's just not very good. Too much crying and screeching in both the TV and the music.

And the Philippines and Korea are very similar. They are full of people who are trying to live their lives. Just like in any country. What kind of person thinks they are superior to a Filipino because they are poor?
