I grew up with Reg and Harry so for me they will never be beaten.
Apart from Ian Darke I don't really now know any of the UK commentators now by name (although I am very familiar with their voices). Only time I heard kellerman was in the Dixon v Balboa fight. Merchant for me is an institution and I can't do with the criticsim he gets - he has earned the right to say what he wants goddamnitt !
I know all the co-commentators of course and like Woodhall who for me is just an all round decent honest bloke. The only fighter I have seen who admitted he had been beaten in his career when he got gifted a decision (think it was against Glenn Catley but not sure). Jonny Nelson is a good bloke too.
Really liked Foreman and Merchant together, even though they argued I thought it made for good commentary, always thought Roy was damn good, especially when he notices things that the other commentators dont. I guess for me it is more about the relationship/rapport between certain commentators than it is the individual. I would be really interested to hear Merchant, Jones, and Tarver call a fight together as I think it would make for an interesting dynamic.
Paul Smith on Box Nation is very good as a co-commentator.
Ian Darke.
I don't like Adam Smith, because his voice annoys me.
